17 Absolutely fantastic place! A hidden gem with incredible fresh earthly food nice wine, awesome coffee and everything an a reasonable price.
Signage on the blank side of the building so people know that you guys do awesome food would help a great deal! I absolutely can't rate you guys enough. Because you wouldn't know how amazing and under rated this place is.
Thanks "Hügel - wine and food bar"
My partner and I visited Hügel during a stay in Lobethal earlier this month. It’s exactly the type of place we wish we had as our local at home in Brisbane - great selection of local wines with a focus on small & independent, a knowledgeable and fun proprietor, and great hospitality - my partner ordered a Negroni and he said it was the best he’d had in some time. We didn’t explore the food menu too far, having over eaten at lunch earlier in the day, but the pork buns were yum. Highly recommend.
Food was incredible, and such a cosy atmosphere with amazing service from Josh, can't wait to come back
Lovely intimate place in Lobethal. Unassuming on the outside but inside you could be in Kensington or Notting Hill. Small choice menu which is done well. Often places have far too many choices. Great wine list of less well known producers most of which are available by the glass. Plus local gins and other spirits. A really sophisticated, low key, place. Lobethal and surrounds has a lot going for it at the moment Don't miss this gem!
Don’t miss this place whilst in the Adelaide Hills! We had dinner Saturday night and food was amazing (especially the lamb), very friendly service and had a quaint and cosy atmosphere.
Absolutely beautiful establishment. Wonderful, original, tasty drink selection. Perfectly cooked, original, exquisite food. Spot on ambience and service. An Adelaide Hills classic
What an absolute gem of restaurant. Josh is welcoming and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and the meal was incredible! A beautiful dining atmosphere, with various seating available from large tables to an intimate private dining space for a couple or small group. The wine list is great. Will be back. Thanks Josh for a wonderful night.
Amazing little gem in the hills - fantastic locally sourced food, wine and service. Couldn't fault it!
Intimate and friendly wine bar nestled in the main street of Lobethal. Options for all price ranges and new wines available frequently. Nice little set up. Remains open past closing time if you're there and happy to stay open until you leave, without issue.
Nice atmosphere, great food and wine. Josh is warm and friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Looking forward to next time!
Lovely place. We had the Hugel board for lunch. Small serving for $48. A sliver of pear for the ‘seasonal fruit’ and no salami. Overpriced.
Lovely quiet spot, easy to find. Good for coffee and cake, wine and cheese, or a decent lunch. Professional and friendly staff.
Love this little place and enjoy the carefully selected wines. Josh chooses them for their uniqueness and most are not popular but up and coming wine labels. Great selection of gins also for their uniqueness and styles. We love introducing friends to Lobethals latest bar where a welcoming smile and conversation is always on offer with owner and host Josh. Also the tapas are inviting too.
Quality wine and food in a beautiful cool but casual space. Well worth the spin up through the beautiful Adelaide hills to this gem.
Simplicity laced with Substance.
As a Lobethal local, I couldn't be happier to welcome Hügel to town. A quaint space with minimalist decor, clean lines and loads of charm. Hügel strips back all the fluff to showcase what truly matters, substance.
The pride owner Josh has for this place is definitely on display everytime he welcomes a guest or pours another locally sourced glass of wine.
The small share style plates of food on offer also pair well and compliment their surrounds.
Great local and interstate wines, food and atmosphere.
Friendly staff and a fresh clean decor.
Will definitely be back!
