Great quality meat - but, please, wear gloves when handling meat. A mask would be good, too. UPDATE: I’m sorry - but the continuing lack of gloves and masks mean we’ll shop for our meat at Coles. And the staff have very little personality. I grew up in an era when butchers were extroverts and always loved to have a chat.

John has been the face of the store for many years providing quality products, local produce with a sense of humour.

Really good butcher. The staff is nice too. Really friendly! Amazing meat at a really good price.

Always try to support local traders, but was so disappointed with the service and more importantly the quality.
The sausages I bought were awful. Never again

We locals in Aberfoyle Park call the Gourmet Butcher the Sausage Champ! Also the meat is probably one of the top 5 best retail meats in SA.

Call me old fashioned but nothing beats the charm of the banter with your local butcher. Let the minions buy their prepacked Ozzi beef from Coles and apple pay the soul less self serve checkout.zzzzzzzzzzzz. So much nicer dealing with a real person who knows their stuff, only sells high quality meat & house made smallgoods & you get a free show from the owner each time. Excellent range of fresh quality meat. Try the house made bacon. In fact try everything. Love your shop John & Bec.

This review doesnt completely reflect their meats but re.gluten free. I dont think they even know! & dont bother asking them as "staff" do not understand the needs for coeliacs. Plz dont be ignorant, if you dont know do not guess, ask your boss & contact me when convenient.

Good range of food, generous portions and tasty. John was kind enough to specially cook my favourite dish. Have been cheating on my usual butcher in Blackwood to come here.

Great butchers the lady who served me was very friendly and the salt and pepper chicken tenders absolutely amazing and really good quality but a bit expensive

Ordered some ribs 3 days in advance. Were not ready on the day, still not ready 2 days later, did not return my calls. Useless shop.
