Have to say im disappointed how house keeping was poor.food and plates sat out side rooms for hours. Making it look messy then the smell of weed being smoked stunk out the 3rd floor making it hard for people on that level deal with the stench along with the rubbish. Not a good look I would not recommend here then complain about the smell and asked to change room nothing was done about it good location lovely pool

Forien owned hotel franchise, Bum sniffers United in here
. Perfect example on how not to accommodate humans.
Seek value elsewhere and your accountant will thank you

Libe this hotel! Stay here for work every time I’m in Adelaide. Great staff, great location and one of the few hotels that have a sauna!

For two days and nights of cold water only showers it didn’t seem to bother the hotel staff when our group of three (3 rooms) informed reception saying “oh that’s not good. ” Then the morning of our departure the tap ran for five minutes and still cold but the water was a visible orange stain and a smell. I chose not to shower and checked out. Work was paying but there was no offer or mention of a discount. 100% of the cost 10% of the service. Will not be my first choice.

But if you are sitting on a bus outside the hotel for quarantine and started googling what the hotel is like you have lucked out. It's was a good place to do your quarantine.food was good most days
police, medical staff and hotel staff were excellent and very helpful.
3 x foxsports channels
free movie channels with a ok selection.large room
no balcony but you might luck a north facing room and get plenty of sun during the day.short trip from airport
change of linen every few days.

I thought I'd share my quarantine experience so far at the Grand Chancellor on Hindley Street. After arriving from the airport I was put into a room which the window faced a concrete wall, pretty much the last thing anyone wants to have to look at while being in quarantine for two weeks. They also seem to have a fascination with serving people vegetarian food at this hotel, for the first 2 days I was fed like I was a rabbit and needed to supplement my nutrition with an Ubereats delivery, the hotel staff finally got the message and I was given some decent food that included some meet. After several complaints about the view of the concrete wall I finally got my room changed to a higher floor which I was very appreciative of the hotel management's efforts, however this was very short lived. Soon after entering this room on a higher floor I realised it was a big mistake, this room smelled rather unpleasant with an stale cigarette smell to it. My sinuses were blocked within 5 minutes of going into this hotel room. I also spent the first half hour cleaning the thick amount of grey dust and muck out of the air conditioner outlet, though it made little difference to the room's smell. The hotel managet seems to be quite ok with putting people's health at risk by putting people into a room where previous people have smoked, they have offered noting to alleviate the problem. I did as the front desk if they could provide an air purifier if they had one, they diliverd a old filthy "air purifier" that look like it had never been cleaned to my door that, for obvious reasons I was reluctant to use it. The Wi-Fi router behind the aging TV in this room didn't have any electrical supply to it, so I needed to connect with the Wi-Fi from another room which was quite weak and fluctuating. To sum up a basic prison would likley be providing a greater duty of care that what I have experienced here, being unable to sleep due to my blocked sinuses and the difficulty with breathing at night due to this this stinky room.

15 days quarantine at Hotel Grand Chancellor. Old but room is generally clean. One window opens a little for fresh air. Not sure why, but the shower stall stinks, although the rest of the bathroom is OK. No bathtub. First vegan meal was quite good. I declined dinner but kind of regretted when I found out that it was curry and naan.

Not even good for quarantine so for a holiday pfffttt
I got bedbugs and had to wait from reception to relief 1 and a half days.happy itching.
I have a problem with alcohol and mental health which is not their problem I realise this but they had no compassion which being by yourself in 4 walls makes you crazy still not their problem but.
SA Health you become accountable over so many levels you should be ashamed!

Beyond discusting living conditions
My mum was stuck in here for quarentine they were rude and had 0 compassion and there beds are infested with bed bug
My mum found she had been bitten badly and upon seeing a nurse not even a doctor and took photos to send to the doctor was alerted they were bed bug bites and it took a whole day and a half to get creams and anti histamines from the pharmacy

Quality hotel. On this particular night I didn't have to pay so that might have contributed to my happy experience. However room was very clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot. Can also say the bar come restaurant was great. Good coffee and food. Very pleasant reception staff and ideally located on Hindley street. I didn't use the hotel parking but they do provide some. Only thing I would say is Hindley street can be a little on the rough side when the night goes on. That's the city though these days.

Clean and spacious room, central location, decent bathroom. I gave 4 stars because the room had no view but that why it was cheaper.

I only visited the bar downstairs, but they had a decent range of drinks at good prices during happy hour.

Good central location in Adelaide city with easy access to parking. Rooms are nicely furnished with good views over the CBD

Don't recommend for anyone flying in with a possible delayed flight. Our overseas flight was delayed and we tried to rebook and they would not let us rebook one day later or offer any other options, lost out on a nights accommodation. Will never stay here again, felt very undervalued as a customer.

Good central location in the CBD. Short walk from the main shopping area. The restaurant at the hotel isn't great but there are lots of good options in nearby laneways. Staff are friendly and helpful, service is generally good and they have a small gym in the basement.

Good over all. Very quiet for a city hotel. Parking was expensive and the restaurant was overpriced for the food and service. Loved the pool!
