The Thai Curry was as Excellent as last time!
We went again, great food as usual.
Another good meal again.
We went there for our Christmas Breakup Dinner another good night of food in great company.

Not too loud, wait time for my meal is good & my wagyu steak was sensational, my compliments to the chefs, well done!

By far the worst food I've been served in a long time. I may have caught the kitchen staff on a bad day but it was just awful. Shame as the service out front was great.

Have been waiting an hour for food now, it takes literally 10 minutes max to cook salt and pepper squid? Tables were filthy, asked staff how long the food would be and they said “it’s in the kitchen” thanks Sherlock ide like to think so.

We were a table of 12 all ordering different meals including Laxa, Kangaroo, Pizza & Chicken Vindaloo. Great menue, wonderful food, great service. Thoroughly recommended.

Extremely mid. $26 for a Dry, tough, frozen 300g snitty. + $4 “parmi” a spoonful of flavourless sauce and pre-shredded cheese.
Just go to the chicken shop down the road.
Outside garden is nice tho.

Hotel Elliott was lovely. The day we went was busy but the service was still prompt. We had a table near the large open window which was lovely. Even more so lovely when the cockle train went past as we could see it in all it's glory right from our table. The food was also wonderful.

Dropped in to see the Hotel after long awaited renovations. Looks great, staff are friendly.
Sadly the food has not improved to suit the new look. The food here is bland. When I say bland you could try cooking it at home and get better results. I didn’t aim to high going with a chicken Parmigiana served with chips and salad. The Parma was a decent piece of chicken though the sauce was straight from a jar with some tasteless cheese on top lacking the usual ham on a Parma. Sadly I won’t be back anytime soon.

Older pub on the outside but lovely interior. Excellent food, fresh and delicious. Great service. Would definitely go again.

Great staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Good was good. Love a good schnitzel with Mushroom sauce.enjoyed sitting in the beer garden even though it was pouring outside. Love it is dog friendly also. Very cosy.

Only got a takeaway meals, apart from having to find somewhere to park (too popular, no parking left anywhere near), meals were very good and well priced. Will be back to experience a dine in meal at next opportunity.

Food was good but the service was really average. Our kids meals came out significantly staggered. I had to ask multiple times our meals and other service.

Just stopped in for a drink and somewhere to play cards for an hour, so can't comment on the food. Friendly staff and only $10 for a jug of coke zero, so can't complain!

Good choice of dining areas, including covered or uncovered outside area.

Had the most delicious meal - divine wedges, Wagyu steak that melted in my mouth, delicious jus and veggies. Hubby had salt n pepper calamari which was so tender. Service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Photos taken half way thru, sorry lol

Food was amazing!
Vibe was great, seats can be private if you want. A pretty flexible place.
Haven’t got a chance to check out the toilet tho.

Had a great lunch food was good, they have a great seniors menu $16 main course or $22 for main and dessert. Staff great. A must visit.

Nice relaxing day in amazing Port Elliot. Stopped in to the local hotel and had a cold drink sitting near the large open windows.

Busy pub with a good menu, not the most exciting place, but you can get reasonably good food here.

Tonight we went to the Hotel Elliot for dinner. We arrived about 7: 15 with no booking. ‘Table for 2 available’ - yes, she said, ‘you’ll need to put a mask on’ - I said ‘no-one else has masks on’ as I perused the dining room. ‘I can’t assist you if you don’t wear a mask, I’m sorry’ she said. We found our masks, put them on and walked TWO (2) steps to our table…2 steps! Then removed our masks. Pllllease! The power has gone to their heads!
We ordered a drink and reviewed the extensive menu. Lots of typical pub food and reasonably priced. We ordered the crumb garfish. We didn’t have to wait long before our meals were served. Delicious crumbed garfish, chips, salad, tartare sauce and lemon. The meal was very tasty, we were hungry after playing golf all day. The service was excellent. We sat for a while watching people coming and going. None of the customers were wearing masks as they paid for their meals. The waiters/esses were all wearing masks, some around their chins, some under their noses…. We watched as three customers paid their bills, without masks. Hubby wandered over to pay for our meals and who should serve him, but the Mask Queen of Hoel Elliot. ‘I can’t serve you unless you wear a mask’ she told hubby…. Some people just love the power.
SA is THE only state in the nation where the wearing of masks is mandated…ok, if you’re going to enforce it but at least be consistent. The Corio pub at Goolwa, no-one is wearing them…even the people behind the bar…. Eeeeish! I’m over it!

Great pub grub, very family. Book in advance as they get booked out, especially during holiday periods.
