Horizons Cocktail Lounge

I dont usually take the time to write less than 5 star reviews, but I was very underwhelmed coming in tonight. I came in for a birthday cocktail and had the worst aperol spritz ever- and spent $20 on it. It was very watered down. I asked the bartender what they use on their spritzes thinking they might have forgotten to add prosecco, and told him I wasnt liking it. He told me he wasn't the one who made my drink, but that he'd ask the other bartender and then just never came back to the table. For as classy of a place this is, I would have expected the bartenders to care about how people enjoy their drinks. But, the atmosphere and muscian this evening were wonderful. 10/10 views of the ocean. Chips were hot, tasty, and large portion. R

You refused service to my friend today because of her visual impairment (she was using her cane) as you claimed she was a safety risk. Which backwards century/country are you people from? I hope she takes you to the Anti-discrimination authorities.

The cocktails and live music were great, the bar snacks were okay, but the venue itself is VERY tired and dated when it comes to decor and presentation. Not somewhere I would recommend for a drinks catch-up with friends.

They would not serve me here because I am vision impaird and use a white cane AND I wasn’t accompanied by “a carer. ” I’m 51, I have 2 degrees and I have travelled the world. Never had this been a “thing” until now. Shame on you Horizons Cocktail Lounge.

Definitely my favorite bar in Glenelg. Service and drinks are great and the venue itself is very unique for the area.

We were here last night, everything was amazing. One of the best drinks in adelaide. Highly recommend the place.

Awful and should be ashamed. Mandatory disability training for all staff is required. Horizons Cocktail Lounge, you need to make a public apology and commit to better inclusive practices!

You do not get to refuse somone a drink at a bar, just because they have a disability - do better!

Had a wonderful experience at horizons bar, we were staying in the hotel for a week and we didn’t miss a night going to the bar. The bar Man is brilliant and recommended us one of the best cocktails. See you at the next stay.

Not the worst cocktail bar that I have been to however it’s likely to be the most incompetent.
I don’t know how you can mess up an old fashioned let alone produce something that vaguely resembles one. The DJ put out a good vibe, it was rather pleasant.

As a previous reviewer said if you like the 80’s - 1880’s and 1980’s this is the place to be. Live music, local gins and an expert mixologist - loved it. Highly recommended, will be back again.

I recently hosted a function for a group of 18 in Horizons. I can’t speak highly enough of the quality of service, food & music. Avra & his bar professionals really looked after us, we had a fun-filled, quality evening. I highly recommend this venue.

If you liked the 80s, either the 1880s or the 1980s, this is the bar for you.

Time for some new chairs, the srings have been sprung for a while now. Beautiful views of the sunset. Lots of cocktails to choose from. One of favourite beach side bars. Lovely old world atmosphere.

Wow, awesome tasty Indian that didn't burn your mouth. We did the $37.50 banquet for 4 adults, and we all loved it. So book in and enjoy, but not too many So we can get in when we want to go.

Had a coffee here one late night. Stunning views and leather lounges. Good service, good coffee and will always remember the guy behind the bar was playing "postmodern jukebox" introducing me to a very unique cover band. Listen to them and stop for a cocktail when you can.

Fantastic customer service! So lovely. After a horrible day on Australia day being treated so poorly somewhere else we came in here for a drink to relax (myself and two friends). We instantly felt so welcome. Staff even lent my friend a phone charger and charged her phone for her! Definitely lifted our spirits. We actually ended up in here by accident after not being able to find another place but after our experience we will be back

Had an outstanding night here. Had awesome cocktail happy hour, live music here was quality, really good for a medium sized crowd for all ages. Staff were simply great, a smile goes a long way

It's a neat lounge area. Bar in the centre of the room, and seating around about; consisting of personal seating as well as 1 or 2 seater lounge suites. It has a good atmosphere to the place, plus a great view of the ocean as well.
You can order drinks, and finger food. Plus they can cater for a party too.
