Fantastic bakery. Service was fast and friendly. The Cornish pasties are delicious. Cakes are fresh and yummy with a wide variety to choose from.

Today I brought sheapard pie. Wasn’t enough meat was full potatoes on top bit dispointed thank you

I really like their, Cornish pasties and Curry pies, I go here on a regular basis and I always enjoy whatever I buy. I recently started buying all of my bread here as well because it's a lot fresher than the bread I use to buy from the supermarket give them a try I'm sure you will agree with me ️%

Only stopped because of sign voted Adelaide's best pie I didn't think so I also thought it was overpriced and I also wonder when they were voted best pie in adelaide there is no year or date on the sign it could of been years ago sausage rolls taste funny and pie crust taste like cheese

Came here recently and oh my golly gosh was the food here amazing! The service was pinpoint and Samantha went out of her way to make sure my experience here was to the highest tier.definitely coming back when i hear my stomach growl.

I love this bakery! The food is always consistently fresh and delicious! I highly recommend coming here for lunch! They also sell bread and cakes which are always fresh! The hot food always sells out fast, so you have to get in quick to get what you want! This is definitely my favourite bakery

These have the best pies I've tasted, some bakeries the pies are dry and really crunchy but I've never had a bad pie from here.

Not a lot of "real" bakeries around these days that's why this one is a treasure. Best pies and pastys around. Always find a reason to call in.

Just returned to SA after nearly a year of being overseas. Visited the local bakery, bought a Cornish pasty. My gosh it’s the most delectable thing I’ve ever tasted and they’re so big, I can’t possibly eat it all. The flavour is melt in your mouth delicious. Probably the best pasty I’ve ever had, or I’ve been away for too long, not sure which one it is ‍️

Come here often, great pasties, checked web site if open, says it is but when I arrived sign saying closed til Jan 17th.

I really like their, Cornish pasties and Curry pies, and there coffee is too die for. Reasonably priced, I go here from time to time.

Hands down best bakery.
Service 10 out of 10, food 10 out of 10. Will not buy bread anywhere else. Highly recommend.

I love this place. The pastries, savoury or sweet or very delicious! Caters to gluten free and lactose intolerant people. Always service with a smile

The aromas that waft from this bakery makes you wish lunchtime was all day!
I love chunky pies and meat pasties and both Homestead's pies and pasties are really lovely, no doubt!
The staff are lovely, polite and homely too. Their drinks fridges are fully stocked with the full gamut of different types of drinks, fruit juices, different waters, health, carbonated and still plus the milk coffees etc.and the whole soft drink range. They make fresh rolls and sandwiches and even proper espresso coffee to have with all of the sweet buns and other sweet delicacies. Yum!
A big bonus is, if you like tomato sauce is they "squeeze" the sauce in rather than offer those individual measures you have to squeeze over your pie or pastie.
I would've happily given a five star review except for when they squeeze the sauce in, the squeezy bottle is removed too quickly thereby not enough sauce enters your pie or pastie. It's pretty annoying paying for sauce but not getting any.
Please note though, regardless of that small sauce issue, there is nothing wrong with the premises, the staff and the products. A great place for lunch anyday.

This place is open early Saturday so I'm happy for coffee at that time, it looks like every thing eatable is made on the premises.

Plain beef mince pie. Pastry base was thick and undercooked. Lid was good but undercooked. Filling was more glug than meat. Too much salt, onion or garlic and thickener left horrible taste in mouth. Served at the correct temperature. Shop was clean and service was OK. Overall 6/ 10. Oh and the price $5.30 is a bit over the top.

As others said the pies and the cakes are yummy.
However the customer service is poor and I will be sure to avoid the place in the future.
These people treat you like they're doing you a favour. With the recent excuses for social distancing they're not serving you cakes on a plate/spoon but in a paper bag? It feels like you're in the middle of an outback forsaken town. Dirty tables.
I'm giving it 3 stars because the pies are yummy but that's half the experience.
