12Simply, utterly, 100% i great fresh tasty cheese tomato and Basil melt on Turkish bread, accompanied by a hot beverage. Highly recommend. Stunning atmosphere, comfortable seating and enjoy looking through the shop. Definitely worth a look
The food and art was amazing, everything complimented each other! The young man was very nice and experienced, knew how to make a good sandwich. Can see him and his business growing in the near future.
Definitely will be back again
This charming Hahndorf cafe, masterfully run by an 18-year-old, is a hidden gem. From the exquisite food to the exceptional coffee, it's a delightful experience. The cozy ambiance, friendly service, and evident passion make it a must-visit. A testament to the young owner's talent and entrepreneurial spirit, this cafe is destined for success and deserves your visit.
Couldn't reccomend this place enough! The coffee was in a class of its own! The sandwich was amazing, and the homemade brownie. Wow
My only regret is I didn't take the time to take a photo! Got stuck into the atmosphere and service!
Great experience and will come back!
Got a hot chocolate and cookies couple weeks back amazing! Knew I needed to come in again and when I heard there was now pup cups I knew I needed to try the treat on my baby “dog” who is very feline like, and oh did the baby girl love it if she could leave a 5 star review she would. Ice chocolate was also amazing the best in the hills, thank you so much for brighting me and my cat (named peanut) day
Ngl actual best hot chocolate i’ve ever had.the brownie was 10/10, it had the perfect consistency and i thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience!
cannot forget the great service, serving every customer with a smile!
Tiktok whinner. Imagine using that time to work on ideas to bringing more customers. Oh wait, tiktok is the idea. How long can you be viral before the hype is gone? Do it again and milk the media. Go Homeboy
Tom Oswald, Restaurant / Cafe proprietor of "HomeBoy" in Handorf, Australia.
Only 20 years old, 21 maybe, opened his eaterie at 18 ~ & Boom ~ pandemic hit.
Kept "Homeboy" open throughout awaiting business ~ further practising his skills ~
Tom is still there with a smile, coffee ~ pastries home baked faire.
Started at 18, who has such forthrightedness at such a young age anymore?
Tom is reminiscent of The Wild Australia, way back, when settlers, had to make a go of it to survive. Just like the Wild West in America.
No Quitters Allowed.
Get over to "HomeBoy" and order your coffee, maybe a pastry, such variety!
Be served by an extrememly tenacious 'young' man, Tom, that wants to serve you.
"HOMEBOY". ~ they don't make'em like they used to ~
Young & Tough ~ "Homeboy"
Went in today with my little sister. Tom was super friendly and was keen to chat. I ordered an iced latte and it was delicious. I’d highly recommend
A beautiful cafe one of the best I’ve been to for sure would recommend also magnificent social media pages which offered loads of information about the cafe
An amazing place to find yourself in Hahndorf. The service was great and so friendly. I tried the Austrian strudels with my coffee and they were light and full of flavor. I will be back to try more soon.
"homeboy" or "homeboy's" or "homeboys" (i can't quite tell if an apostrophe should be present) is a genuine vibe.i have lived in, and around, hahndorf for years, and the worst thing about the town is that the dining experience for young people is genuinely cringe.the locals? All leave for their coffee, and their study hidey-holes.but this place is the real dealllll because the lad at the front of it all is genuinely lovely.he kinda does feel like a homeboy? Or what i imagine a "homeboy" is like.the coffee is good and i've sat there to study and didn't feel the inevitable hahndorf cringe like everywhere else.if he keeps up the genuine kindness and conversational ability, this business should stay steady.there isn't much food there YET but i think there's stuff in the works so watch this space!
