Hokopo reviews
48Not as good as before after the boss/staff has changed. The bibimbap just not as tasty as before anymore. I have ordered a hot stone pot for that and its not even hot, I can touch my hand on the stone pot.
Love the yuzu lemonade, croquette curry and takoyaki but probably the worst ramen I've had so far. The broth was weak while the pork was very chewy and too thick. Hopefully it's better next time.
Food comes in good appearance. We ordered Japanese curry rice with Tempura Prawns, and Chicken udon in soup. The curry was too watery but still very salty. Better with a bit more rice. Chicken tasted okay but udon miso soup was average. Will only give a rating of 3 5. If easy dishes like udon are like that, we won't have any expectations on Ramen. I guess the Korean dishes may be better.
Great service. Great spiced crinkle cut chips. Great takoyaki. My mother is a takoyaki aficionado. I admitted to her that I'd come here to try the food and sent her the photo of the takoyaki. I told her it was amazing. We always joke that one day she'll change the locks before I get home. She texted back: "Can't talk right now. The locksmith has arrived. " Fair. The takoyaki at this place is worth being locked out for. I'm sure she'll relent and let me back in if I promise to bring her here soon.
Ramen was yummy with lots of flavors. A bit stingy with the meat. Service was quick despite the busy school holiday season.
Don’t waste your time, or money. My partner and I ordered came here for a date and ordered the same meal deal main, and entree. When the entree came out, my partner asked the waitress if the portion was the 2 serves we ordered, or just the 1, she advised she was unsure, however she thinks just 1, yet we did not receive another. We then waited over 30 mins for our main, I received mine, we waited 10 mins and asked what was taking so long with his as we ordered the same thing? They checked where his was, and immediately and made his in under 5 mins. I am confused at why we waited over 30 mins for 2x the hokopo wrap meal, for cold, mediocre, small portions of a wrap, chicken and fries for over $15 per person… The fries sat in the bain marie area the whole time, from when we ordered, to when we both received our meals, the fries were soggy, the chicken was barely warm, chewy, and did not taste fresh… I then asked for a takeaway container for the rest of the food as we could not finish, as it was not tasty, they replied “that will be 50c if thats okay”…. So poor service, and cold mediocre food, yet 50c for a takeaway container, nah not okay at all… We will not be returning.
Good simple food. Love the Hokopo roll and stir fry udon dishes. Fairly priced given the costs of everything at the moment.
If you come here, you will see an iconic portrait of the friendly owner hung outside the shop. A nice little touch of deco which I find adorable.
I used to go every Thursday for a Bibimbap. However, I’m very disappointed with the portioning reduction, and still for the same price. It’s a shame because the food is delicious, but the money you pay is not worth the food portion you will receive. I asked for a chicken Bibimbap and literally I received 4 little chunks of chicken.
It has been a while I have been eating at this restaurant, however the last two times the size of the food was reduced dramatically. I'm talking about 60% of the size!
Been here twice now and had the soya ramen with tofu and it’s just incredible. Literally writing this review because I am craving it but it’s the middle of the night
Appawling service!
Every single table was dirty!
C'mon, clean something for once in your life!
I told the waiter that I had moved, and then I get a lecture from another waiter that I have to "tell them that I have moved".
NEVER AGAIN!
So nice to actually give five stars for an eatery in Adelaide. The food is delicious, authentic, quality Korean food, prepared and made by Koreans.
Excellent friendly staff, beautiful food and quick service!
The only place I go for quality fast food that isn't too expensive and the place is just wonderful and cosy!?
Wide variety of meals to choose from. Food is always presented fresh. Staff are nice and always attentive. Favourite place to eat in Westfield Marion! My favourite is the Beef Udon Stirfry!
What a wonderful business. Beautiful family. Delicious food. My fav is the beef hot stone bibimbap. Also try the Japanese curry. So many tasty options.
Thank you for all the lovely meals Hokopo family.
Ramen - noodles are good, the broth is good and comforting, and the pork is good
Fried Chicken Karage with Japanese curry- fried chicken is fresh and crispy and pretty average curry
Fries - nice
Ordered Hokopo combo. Roll was ok but chips were cold. Asked for fresh chips and was told no point blank.
We as a family love the food here its always fresh and soo delicious every time and soo good on a cold winter day
Got a spicy beef ramen, tasted nice at the time but gave me food poisoning that night. My next day was wiped recovering.
Partner got a vegan ramen and was fine so yeah.
Hokopo combo box for the win. This place is the perfect blend of good service, fantastic food and great value for money!
