Had the Cray and prime rib special. Steak was surprisingly tender as! Thanks again will certainly be back!

Great place for food and a cold drink. Spiral fries were perfect and the ribs very tasty. Service, from seating, drinks, food and paying were all great.

The guy that served us, anyone would swear he didn't know how to smile and we were made to feel like we were a inconvenience to him by ordering our meals.

Absolutely appalling. NEVER GO HERE. We had an INSANELY BAD experience here. My family came to hogs to celebrate my 16 year old cousins birthday. There were 11 of us. We came at 6.30, at around 7 we were offered drinks. They came ages after we ordered. We also order food around that time and at 8.30 nothing had arrived. My aunt went up to see where our food was but all she got from the staff was a shrug of the shoulders. At around 8 we went up to see where our food was and for the next half an hour we were told over and over it was coming and wouldn’t be too long. It got to a point where my aunt said we were going to cancel the order but the staff said it was coming out really soon so we sat back down and waited. At nearly 9pm (2 HOURS AFTER WE ORDERED) we were told that our order had been cancelled? My cousins birthday was absolutely ruined she was crying and the staff were LAUGHING at her. We asked for the manager to come out several, several times but he never did until it was past 8.30 (when they close) and he told us it was cancelled and that we need to pay for our drinks and go. We obviously were very upset and did not want to pay due to the incompetence of the staff, the wait and the rudeness of the staff. He told us to get the F out. The audacity of this AH is insane. New management is needed asap.

WOW! Visited Glenelg beach & stumbled here & thought we’d done as we are from QLD & dine at this chain frequently. Thought it would be a safe option. Were were terrible wrong! Staff are so rude. Everything we request seem like an ask. Children’s dessert was thrown on top of their dirty plates from their mains which were never cleared. Seriously, spending nearly $200 for 5 of us & treatment like we criminals! NEVER AGAIN. To other tourists, go elsewhere!

Very disappointing food and service. I was still eating my starter when mains started being delivered to the table. My husband’s steak was served and waiter had to be called back to take away his starter plate. Very expensive for very average food: (

Please don’t go here. (even an extra napkin when there was not enough, is too much to ask of staff without eye rolls) went for a family birthday and it was ruined by terrible customer service. Had one young polite staff the entire experience. There was a miss understanding with orders that was handled entirely unprofessionally and blame was put toward my family and I. One staff member in particular was completely rude making faces smirking and scoffing with passive aggressive attitude and remarks. Came from Melbourne to see family and was horrified. Disgusting, uncomfortable experience.

Our chips were completely cold and stale with no crunch. We ordered a few Kids meals and some steaks and both could have been better. For the one of the Kids meals we ordered a Mac and Cheese and had barely any pasta with not even a cheese pull. Staff were rude and took at least 20 minutes to come back as we had a problem. Seats were extremely uncomfortable and might as well have been sitting on a log of wood. Eating at a pub would have been more comfortable and tastier.

Would not come back and would not recommend for others.

I can't give a food review as we didn't get to order. After waiting at the entrance for 5 minutes with another family we were finally seated (the young lady who greeted us was lovely) but after sitting down and waiting to be served for 15 minutes I went to look for someone but there was only one person serving at another table. We gave up and ended up leaving and going elsewhere. It looked like It was going to be a nice place for lunch so I'm quite disappointed: (

When to Hogs Breath Glenelg tonight. From the front door not inviting and when asked how to get a pusher up the stair was told no other access so you will have to carry it up. We sat for 20 mins and then had to ask if we can order drinks witch was repeated twice then another 10min had to ask can we order for the two children witch then was repeated 3 times. When I received my drink it tasted so bad that I could not drink it. Waitress came over i said to her I can’t drink this and asked could I have another as I think it maybe the mixer witch her answer was I’ll talk to my barman about that and could I have my spirit with a bottle coke instead. We looking across at the Barman with rolling eyes and point at the spirit bottle and shaking his head I got up from my chair walked across and said not to worry. I walked over to pay bill and asked the girl if Manager was there witch she said that’s me is there a problem I said I think your service is terrible and you staff are rude. We were a party of 2 children and 7 Adults. They had just missed out on $500 witch we took to another restaurant on the Marina.

Was the place to go many years ago. We were all totally disappointed with the service and the meals. I asked for potato skins to come out before anything so we can all share but we got one meal before that. We were placed someone else’s meal in front of us by mistake. Potato skins were nothing but over cooked potato cheese and 2 pieces of uncooked bacon. The parmy sauce tasted like rich tomato paste, the mushroom sauce was sickly oily.

Honestly so disappointed about this I had to leave a review and warn others.
When I lived in Adelaide I was such a regular everyone knew me by name. I would eat here at least twice a week and took everyone I knew here. It was always packed! Now granted I haven’t lived here for 6yrs and I am well aware Covid has changed things but last night would go down as the worst dinner I have ever had out.
Coming back to Adelaide for the first time in years and catching up with my brother and his soon to be wife we thought we would take them out for a nice dinner that we thought was pretty fail safe. Half the menu was sold out before 7.30pm including their trademark slow cooked steaks which was already disappointing but we also do understand shortages etc. The staff then proceeded to tell us they are not normally busy during the week so they only make up 8 prime ribs? Sorry but that’s crazy! If it’s that quiet you may need to rethink your week menu? Anyway again we moved on and ordered other things. Burgers came out and I was told they were pretty horrible, some were left at the end which is unheard of for our group. Chips and everything were honestly stone cold when placed on the table. I ordered a different steak off the menu and it would have to go down as the worst steak I’ve ever had. I ordered med rare and what I got was well done and chewy and cold. I was so embarrassed: (
If it was just my hubby and I, be warned I would’ve complained on the spot, not eaten and honestly refused to pay for what we received but I didn’t want to make a scene with our guests so we ate what we could, didn’t buy anymore drinks or dessert and left to redeem ourselves somewhere else.
Hogs Breath Glenelg you really need to up your game quick smart or you wont be just quiet you will be out of business completely!

Ridiculously priced for what type of restaurant it is. Literally same price as upmarket places like Hereford Beefstouw, Meat Wine Co etc. Spent average $60pp for a mediocre meal in an extremely uncomfortable bar chair in a pub feel diner place. Steak was good but not worth nearly $50!

Good and service good. Was denied to sit out the front because we were only 3 people even though there were spots?

Arrived for pre-booked meal to be greater by nice man who's first words were "we don't have enough staff in there will be a big wait to just be served, and not the meal, very sorry"

Resulted in noticeable general cleanliness of the venue and decided we wouldn't wait for the high prices they expected for the privilege of that wait. This was a Monday night also.

This was the worst service and meal we've had in recent times. Had to ask at the bar twice to get a drink (table service apparently) steak was no way cooked for 18 hours, lucky to be cooked for 5 minutes. Very disappointing as we had much higher expectations from previous experiences

First time at Hogs Breath, I’m not sure if I’m disappointed or happy. A guy came and asked us what we wanted to drink and then we were unsure if needed to go up an Order. After waiting awhile we went up and found it was table service. The food after ordering took over an hour to be served after asking. When the food came it was a decent size but not for what I payed. The chicken I had was very nice though. I think by the time the food arrived everyone just wanted to leave after waiting so long in the uncomfortable chairs.

Steak is absolutely delicious, and the rest of the menu is also amazing, very happy every time I go to this place.

These reviews are 1 year apart, recent visit was sensational, extremely happy, both my partner and I each had crispy chicken and ranch, both were amazing, truly delicious and huge serves and only $19 each, we were both so full, also had a sticky date pudding which we had to get as takeaway because we were too full. But had that later at home and it too was delicious.
I would give 6 stars if I could, don't think about it, just go visit.

Chose this place for a special occasion, and very unimpressed with our experience. Staff member Carmela was lovely, but the manager (no name tag, but told us he was the manager!) had a very poor attitude and it was obvious he was unhappy he had to actually serve tables. Would come and talk to us, but then would walk away when we wanted to actually order!
He told us they had sold out of the 18hr cooked prime rib, because it was a week night, and when we told him we booked in advance we were told we should have 'reserved' the steak at the time we booked. Not sure it's the customer's responsibility to know to do this?
The potato skins were also so ridiculously varied in size. Combo of tiny, medium and one huge one.

Awesome place close to the beach and with some great healthy options. I had the beef cheeks and they were melt in the mouth delicious with mash and veggies.
