Hire A Mover

Used hire a mover for a difficult move. The guys were excellent, worked hard, were knowledgeable and helpful. They treated our belongings with respect. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing the way they handled damaged items. They damaged my Richter speaker which costs $2k and say it's cosmetic and not really damaged. I cannot recommend hire a mover. They also broke glasses and bowls which they packed. It took over a month for them to address. Not good service.

The movers were absolutely fantastic but my complaint is with the admin. My parents called 3 hours into their move with concerns about time (as the previous move had taken 3.5hours in total) and furniture had only just started being unloaded at the destination at that point. The two moves were to/from the same apartment, with the same access, shorter distance and they had simply expected a similar service, and time, Instead of being assured, being offered a call back after the move was complete or being offered an estimate of how long things might take; they were asked for proof of their previous move, ghosted by a local coordinator and argued with by someone on the main telephone line.

The move completed in a timely manner, if slightly longer than the last time but the phone support experience left a bad taste in their (and my) mouth.

Edited for reply: I appreciate you hurrying the movers at 2pm, this was certainly something that was either not communicated or understood over the phone. I specifically recall you stating that you’re ‘not sure what you (Jenny) want me to do about this’. I understand some tempers might have flared during the stress of moving but this was not the most reassuring or professional
. Generally when confronted with an irate customer, *you* would be the one offering solutions.
The move was finished in a timely manner, though most of our furniture was left on the ground floor to save time, but it’s unclear if this would have happened without your phone call.

I used this company to help move my stuff into storage. All I can say is Thiago and Bruno are amazing. I am so grateful for them, all my stuff is safe and sound. No breakages and they were so time efficient as well. Would use this company again.

I have used Hire a Mover 3 times now and they have always been great to work with. Polite, professional and always happy to help out with challenging pieces of furniture. Thank you to Andrea and Anan for helping us move last week you guys were great.

Very friendly and professional guys! Showed up on time and were incredibly careful moving furniture through narrow hallways to avoid scuffing paint. Highly recommend!

I have used this company THREE times and have been very happy with the service on each occasion. The admin staff are very helpful with answering my questions during the booking process and the movers on the day were friendly and took care with all my delicate items. Very happy customer:)

Update: Have now used them a fourth time and still a happy camper:)

Professional service. I used Hire a Mover for my move on March 4th 2023. There were a couple unanticipated issues which arose during the move which I accept is often the case when moving home. I was very impressed by how swiftly and effectively management resolved the issue which is what promoted me to write a review. The removalist staff were polite, friendly and professional also. We engaged hire a mover to move our office. It was absolutely seamless from initial engagement to the end. The office staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and I couldn't recommend them anymore. So relieved that the move was easy and will look to use them again in the future.

Had a great team, on time and efficient. One of my items was unfortunately damaged during the move, although a few emails later and I was quickly reimbursed.

They were fantastic! They were exactly in time. I was a top floor unit with no lift and those guys did not stop! No damage to my stuff or the stairwell, they worked nonstop the whole time (I wouldn’t have minded if they took a break as it was hard work with the stairs) and the guys were just absolutely lovely. They made an extremely stressful situation so much easier! I would strongly recommend!

The movers were very communicative in telling me what they were doing and made sure they stayed in the time limit to ensure I wasn’t charged extra. It made moving much less stressful!

Hire a Mover fitted in our urgent job between Xmas and New Year when most other companies were not even answering the phone. The removalists were prompt, polite and able to respond to some difficult circumstances moving a deceased estate out of a nursing home. I would highly recommend this company.

My overall experience was very positive.
Tali was also so helpful over the phone before and after the move, she was very professional as well as having the most delightful disposition for customer service.
The guys who moved us out and back were also fabulous! I would use their service again if required and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Great experience, very professional and made sure everything moved properly, also they helped me to wrap few miscellaneous stuff and took great care while moving the items and surroundings (walls/mirrors etc).
They worked for 3h 20m for me, but they charged for 3h only and price is very reasonable.
