Himalayan Kitchen reviews
53Amazing food, had the banquet and struggled to get through it all. Difficult to choose a favourite dish!
Beautiful food in a lovely setting topped off with outstanding service from the owner with a heart of gold. Complimentary pickled bitter melon and singing bowl lessons! Strongly recommend
The Best ever Nepalese restaurant in whole Australia. I travelled around Melbourne, Brisbane, Goldcoast and Sydney but the taste here is best. Especially the Achar and goat meat. Atmosphere is good too.
Thanks a bunch.
Lovely food and great service. The owner comes out and engages with customers. He taught us how to use singing bowls. A lovely place for a nice night out.
Sensational. Every dish we had was delicious and comforting. A little bit of warmth was delightful in the goat curry. Good beers, solid wine list. Tops. Thanks!
Best Nepalese restaurant in Adelaide. We tried Pakoda, coconut chicken and Palak panir with Garlic naan. Really love them all.
The spicy ️ dipping sauce was cherry on the top.
Highly recommended.
This place is not supposed to be for Nepalese people. We tried chicken momo and polyako lamb which don't have any nepalese flavour and 4pieces momo/plate@$13.00 and 4pieces lamb/plate@$16.00.
One of the worst Restaurant with expensive price. I highly reckon not to prefer this place for fooding. You have to pay separately for each item even if it on tray. Worst experience
We had such a beautiful dinner here! Amazing food and the vibe is so natural and enjoyable. A lovely chef came out to chat, share his knowledge and showed us how to use traditional singing bowls and how to use the shell instruments. Highly recommend visiting for the experience and the delicious food.
Food and desert was amazing, we got the festival chicken and chicken curry and both were delicious then mango ice-cream and milk dumplings, so yummy.beautiful and friendly service.
I don’t think this place is for Nepalese People. We are from SYD, someone recommended us this place, we tried chicken momo, which don't have any nepalese flavour and 4pieces/plate@$13.00 Oops
I had lamb curry and roti from here. It was really delicious, tasted fresh and like a home cooked curry
Worst experience in Nepalese resturant in my life.taste of momo was bad and expensive than average price.
I cannot sing their praises enough!
The food was absolutely amazing with a mix of dishes to suit different palettes and the ability to add more chilli if desired. Bhim and Holly have created more than just a restaurant though, it's a full experience. Not only were they and their staff patient with our 2 young children, Bhim gave our toddler an instrument to keep them happy whilst we were waiting for our order.
Everyone was very friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about how their customers are travelling. After many years in the service industry myself, I have high standards for customer service and they exceeded any expectations I may have had.
They provided our toddler with plastic dishware without us having to ask, which parents of young ones would know doesn't happen often. And they conversed not only with the obvious regulars, but everyone, checking in regularly to ensure no one needed anything.
I had never tried this cuisine, but was extremely impressed with the rich flavours and beautiful textures of the food. Again, care has been taken to ensure an enjoyable experience.
After dinner, we were offered to learn to use Tibetan singing bowls, something I had always wanted to try; this rounded out the experience and we left relaxed and content.
We just went out for a bite, but got so much more. Thank you so much for an amazing evening Himalayan Kitchen.
As we sat down, someone else came into the restaurant and asked for a table 'because his friends had told him he had to eat there'. They were right. Family-run established with authentic food. Excellent goat curry cooked in Tibetan style with mustard oil and fenugreek. And remarkably good value. Located in North Adelaide a fair walk from the CBD, but well worth it.
Can’t recommend this place enough! Walked in and had the best food and service we could have ever asked for. We dined with a toddler, so if you’ve had one you know that can make your dining experience way more stressful - but the chef made him his own lentil curry and rice which he devoured and spent time with him colouring in and talking to him while we ate. He was the sweetest man and on top of all of that the food was incredible. We had dumplings, prawn curry, lamb, naan and rice as well as some sweets and we couldn’t fault it. 100/10 these guys were incredible! Thank you to the chef and the lovely waiter for the best experience
If you're looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or event, AND have an excellent meal this is the place to go!
Went here with a group of 10 people and we all ordered the banquet. The food was amazing and there was more than enough to feed everyone to bursting point!
They were very easy to work with around dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian, allergies).
A very nice restaurant for Indian/ Nepalese & Tibetians.
We had a Indian food was nice except the fish curry (was so sweet)
A big shout out for Bhim, Holly and the Himalayan Kitchen's staff. They made my son's birthday party lunch truly special. Not only the food was great but the whole experience was just amazing. Thank you so much. We enjoyed our time there.
Absolutely brilliant! Wonderful bunch. Haven't laughed, had so much fun at dinner and been taught so much in eons. Thank you for a wonderful time!
