Hilton Hotel MyBar

A few nights ago a small group of us held a dinner business meeting at this hotel. The surroundings were pleasant enough but the range and quality of the meals was very inadequate especially given the high prices. Some of the staff were eager to please while others seemed somewhat disinterested. The price of drinks was also quite steep for what is meant to be a pub on South Road. Dont think we will be going back anytime soon as there are so many better choices in Adelaide.

Nice place inside but choice of alchohol is poor. Never known a pub to not sell kahlua or flavoured vodkas. There were others as well but don't remember off the top of my head

The wagyu schnitzel was good and crunchy. The sauce was a little bit too little for liking, although the overall quality compensated for that.

Modern decor that looks great. They had their covid checkin running well. Little pricey but very generous serves especially for lunch time. Served efficiently staff ok, not rude but not real friendly, again efficient would sum it up. Great selection of on tap beers something for everyone. Will definitely be back.

With a undercover beer garden with a large screen and plenty of seating, the Hilton hotel is a wonderful venue to catch up with friends to have a few drinks while catching up on your favourite sports. The management is friendly and happy to oblige if you want to watch something different.

I went there to watch the India - Australia cricket.

Christmas drinks Wednesday night, when one of our staff had a medical emergency in the ladies bathroom.
Two of the staff were nothing short of amazing looking after Pat until family members could come and collect her. Good people are hard to find. We were so lucky to be looked after by wonderful caring staff.

I really like this pub. Nice atmosphere, warm, welcoming friendly. But if your quest is find the best Cesaer salad in Adelade, then your quest would continue. Great range of beers and tonic waters if G&T is your thing

Very clean facility, but I don't get their pricing with the restaurant. For what you get at most pubs, the food is nothing special in comparison and quite expensive!

Meal in the Front Bar. Disgusting, dry Schnitzel, chips cooked in dirty oil and 'salad' that was soggy and clearly been in the fridge for about a week.

I come here monthly for an inspirational breakfast networking event; "Breakfast at the Next Level". The staff are always prompt and efficient, courteous and considerate. The coffee is quite good and the cooked breakfasts most enjoyable and able to cater for dietary requirements.

It bought back a lot of good memories when i was growing up my dad use to work there it was a place you could find him when we needed him he has passed now. My family celebrated his 100th. Birthday last night we miss our dad so much. My Dad's birthday is 17.2.2020. Happy Birthday for tommorrow dad.we luv you and miss you very much your daughter xxxthe food is good the porterhouse snitty is so good there menu has a good choice to choose. From.

LOVE eating here. The Schnitzels are amazing! The service is always friendly. Prices are also reasonable for a family dinner. I have been here many times and the food is always top notch!

The food has always been good at Fedoras restaurant and the service is friendly. Pub food is getting expensive though. No longer the cheap meal it once was. It's a good location too with parking at the back.

This is a two part review. One for the comedy show and the second for their below average quiz night.

MyBar hosts the "Fringe on the Fringe" comedy show each year. It's brilliant and well worth going. I have attended 3 years running. Totally awesome.

Now the negative review.

MyBar also hosts a quiz night. The overall structure is just simply awful. The only positive part of the quiz night is that it is electronic with keypads that removes the possibility of cheating via using smart phones for the answers.

And that is where it ends. The "host" allows his wife to attend the function, nil issues with that, but she is also one of the contestants playing on a team. Ummm, slight conflict of interest there? For added fun the quiz host and his wife argues over answers to questions and "facts", yep, super professional.

The next insult is that the entire quiz night is based on a point system. That system is furthermore part of an extended "competition". But be warned if you win one particular night, you will get penalised thousands of points because you won on your previous visit. I mean, seriously? What sort of f'd up system is that?

But the great news is that IF you buy a beer tower, you gain extra points (1000 points) to add to your overall score. Too bad for those people on small teams, too bad for those that have to go to work that evening and can't get smashed.

It seems like the hotel is more than happy to encourage IRRESPONSIBLE drinking but the contestants don't get extra points for buying meals!

Poorly run quiz night and blah-blah "on the spot" prizes.
The host should be sacked.

The food is pretty damn good though.

We had our work event at the Hilton 21 people on a Friday night. It was a great night with a great crowd. The staff really looked after us and everyone had a fantastic time, thanks Hilton.
