Do not stay at the homestead, we did recently and were shocked at the filthy state of the house, we used dozens of antiseptic wipes to clean a layer of black grime from most areas. The owner was aggressive and threatening when we complained and accused us of lying. We have many photographs and videos of the filth. When we left the house was much cleaner than we found it, however we did not remove the many cobwebs and dead flies from the ceilings nor the dirty smear on the bathroom wall we didn't think this was our job. Such a shame as the coastline is beautiful.

What a gem on this east coast
If you seek some wild country with room to stretch this it.
Down to earth nice staff, amazing views and don't feel like your in suburbia
Top my hat to them

Such a great place to stay. Long drop toilets are very very clean as is the entire camp ground. Having the shop at the entrance is very handy and the staff were really helpful when we needed some helo.

Ideal location for a relaxing holiday. Very disappointed with the Pod leaking water. If only we were told, we would have been prepared.

Easily accessible from the highway. We booked online and arrived late in the afternoon, the lovely staff had a map, bins and key code information in an envelope waiting for us. Ability to also rock up without booking! Camp sites flat & spacious. Great clean facilities with hot showers! Absolutely loved our stay.

Fantastic Getaway, first time staying in the Hilltop Pod, oh it is perfect, everything you need, just bring your food, clothes, fishing gear, the bed is good, great shower etc, tv, gas stove, heating is good, fished and camped here many years ago but the Pod Is Fantastic,

Recently stayed two nights in one of the ocean pods however was left very disappointed after being left with little to no power for the entire first day/night. Contacted the owner for assistance as we could not get hot water, heating or television and she advised she would call in the morning to assist us. We were never contacted by her the next day and were lucky to run into a man on the property who helped us to connect a generator for the last night. This man also mentioned that they were well aware the battery for the pod was faulty but not being fixed until later in the week yet we were not advised of this when checking in and no generator was set up for us prior to us staying therefore we suffered on our first night. We thought we would also message and ask whether we could have a late checkout for the next day given the troubles we had but that messaged was ignored. Overall the views were stunning and the pod itself was nice and tidy but couldn’t help but leave feeling snubbed as no compensation was offered for our first night and no one checked in with us at all, nor was anything mentioned or apologised for when checking out!

Great little stay. Called in the late afternoon and were able to set up camp in Golden Orb later that night. Signage was done very well and made it easy to find the site. The map provided was a little confusing to figure out but we found our site eventually. Pam was very helpful and friendly.

The perfect opportunity for those who aren't setup for towing a caravan into the middle of nowhere. Absolutely stunning views.
If you want to see the best of SA, without the tent, this is worth it.
I'll definitely be back.

Looks great! Wouldn't recommend the Salmon sleepout as the ground is all dust. Plenty of nice sites around tho. Would recommend visiting during winter to avoid the snakes, partner and myself left within an hour after arriving after spotting a 2m red belly about a metre from our swag, both have a huge fear. After contacting to see if we could refund atleast 2 of the 3 nights, were lectured on the ecosystem and were essentially denied any sympathy.

My wife and I had the most relaxing time ever. Had a beach section to ourselves as it is late January with no school kids. The views and beaches were amazing. Spent time in a rock pool all in walking distance from our motorhome. Lots of options for campers. This is one of SA best kept secret places to visit in York Peninsula. Lots of fishermen. Clean toilets. Will be back.

This campground is awesome! Really feels like you're doing camping properly with beautiful unpowered sites that have magnificent views across the ocean. Good amount of amenities, and well priced. You can charge up things at the toilet block if you need, and will probably need a 4x4 to access. So glad we went here rather than somewhere further into Marion Bay.

Fantastic camp ground. We stayed in the saw tooth rocks camp and had a great time. Had our own beach and rocks pools to explore and a private campsite. The road into our camp was fairly sandy and required a 4x4 but the sedans just parked out the front and walked in. My only criticism would be the lack of amenities down towards our camp but on the other hand, it really feels like you are camping out bush. We will be back!

Beautiful views that are breath taking! We love coming here and have every second for your anniversary. So peaceful in the camp grounds and for $56 for the whole weekend it's the perfect getaway!
