Hill Top Vietnam Restaurant reviews
30 I had my first takeaway meal of Chicken pad Thai tonight from Hill Top Vietnam, generous serving of chicken with the noodles, eggs and sauce. Great prices as well.
Booked in for my birthday lunch on Sunday with the family. More photos to come. Highly recommend.
I just got the plum duck takeaway, while waiting i saw the chef come out and he looked completely exhausted.
Well i can see why he looked so exhausted, because he pours his heart and soul into the food he makes!
Unfortunately I'm yet to visit Vietnam, but wow, he certainly brought an experience of Vietnam food to my mouth tonight
One of the best things I've ever eaten (had to take a pic after I had already eaten half since i dont take food pics) meal sizes are fantastic
OMG! Such a hidden gem, you would never expect such an amazing restaurant hidden away in the hilltop shopping centre.
Food is absolutely amazing we’ve had sit down and take away - both totally out of this world.
Best Chinese food I have ever had in this state. Yes I know it's called a "Vietnamese" restaurant and that's what I went there expecting to eat. There are many Vietnamese people in SA that call their restraunt "Chinese" and offer Chinese food. The trouble is it's not very Chinese at all. So imagine my surprise when I came here thinking I would get served Vietnamese food, and got the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. I know the name is wrong, but I could not fault the food, it was absolutely fantastic. From now on I have a new favourite Chinese restaurant, and it's called a Vietnamese restaurant. In their defence they also serve the large bowls of Vietnamese soup that we all love, and it's very authentic.
Now I'm in no position to judge someones nationality, but this place mops the floor with the stores that call themselves "Chinese. "
Got a serve of boneless ribs without rice. $20.00 or so - took another 3 sittings to clean it up.
The young man that served us was polite and nice however we ordered take away and the food was disgusting. The fried rice tasted burnt, he honey chicken and sweet-and-sour pork was disgusting. The batter around the pork and chicken tasted very doughy like it was not fried properly. However it looked like burnt, very dark in colour. The sweet-and-sour pork, batter just crumbled and it did not look like a red sauce like normal. I have had to take away from this place many times and this was the worst ever and I refuse to go back.
I rang the business and was told me to bring the food back and they would look at it upon arrival. I showed them what I meant, the owner/chef came out of the kitchen, asking what was wrong with it because it looked fine to her. I told her to taste it, which she refused, told her about the doughy taste to the batter and the soggy texture of the pork and the chicken and she blamed it on being a takeaway dish, I told her that I’ve never eaten in her restaurant only ever had take away, and I’ve never had an issue like this before. She refused to refund the rice but eventually refunded the chicken and the pork dishes.
I will never go back to this restaurant. Her service was appalling and her food was absolutely disgusting. Definitely not happy with the service or food at Hill Top Vietnam Restaurant.
One of our favourite places for dine in or takeaway. Absolutely delicious food with very reasonable prices.staff are friendly and welcoming. I Highly recommend Hill Top Vietname Restaurant.
My favourite place ever! The staff are so friendly and helpful. In the few years I have been coming here I have never had a single complaint about anything. The food is so so good and always made fresh.
I can not recommend enough! <3
To be honest the pick up was at lunch time so there was no atmosphere but service was polite. I ordered a Singapore Noodles which did take some time to cook but I put this down to the chef cooking dishes for the takeout section. Really good Singapore Noodles especially since they are more authentic as others in the area don't add curry powder and are white rather than the way they should be.
Asked and paid for extra fried egg with roast pork and rice but got a mini omelet. Singapore noodle were good.
I have only ever ordered takeaway from here. Have never had any issues and the food is amazing. I prefer it over the other Vietnamese restaurant at O’halloran hill.
Ordered Bahn mi. Yesterday's bread, dry, tough meat and not even one tiny piece of pork crackle. Very disappointed.
We stopped in on Saturday 21/7/21 for dinner. We order Uber from this place regularly but have never got around to dining in before. Have always loved our takeout but having the whole extensive menu to order from was a real treat. The Restaurant is simple but spotlessly clean and they have the best Covid protocols in place that I have seen in any restaurant thus far. We didn't have a booking but the friendly staff welcomed us and found us a table. It was then I realised the rest of the tables were full or reserved. That's always a good sign but after my meal I now know that it's probably because this is the best Vietnamese food in Adelaide. The food was amazing. All 3 courses of it and serving sizes are generous. The service was friendly and super efficient given that they were so incredibly busy on 3 fronts, dine in, takeout and delivery. I don't know how they manage it. It simply did not stop while we were there. To top off the experience, the bill at the end was more than reasonable. If you like Vietnamese food this place needs to be at the top of your list of places to try.
The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were fantastic, i would recommend this restaurant, we had a fantastic night, Thank you to all at Hill Top Vietnamese Restaurant, we will definitely be back
Food alway delicious and hot but much cheaper to pick up yourself rather than get delivered bu Uber or doordash
The food at Hill Top Vietnam is exceptional! Our compliments to the chef. However the service is quite poor. Only 4 of our party of 8 came which is probably just as well. We ordered drinks and they were brought to the table one at a time at about 10 minute intervals. One guest ordered white wine with a splash of lemonade (on tap). Waitress said she would bring a can, but it did not come out with the wine. Guest reminded the waitress and about 10 minutes later she came with a small plate of sliced lemon. Guest also asked for no onion in her meal and the dish arrived covered in spring onions.
A change of diet is always a welcome addition to the health and well-being of your body. I don't frequent this establishment enough, being so far away now. I used to go a bit more regularly with my wife and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. Very reasonable with prices being compatible with most other restaurants of this type. It is all in your taste and mindset however. For us, we can eat in or settle for a quick take away Vietnamese roll at lunchtime. Either way, we both feel that it is a nice out of the way place to eat and deserves a look.
My family and I got 70 dollars worth of food and it was terrible almost like they reheated the leftovers from the day before aviod this place
IT'S SO GOOD I RUB IT INTO MY RACOON WOUNDS! Highly recommend their salt and pepper chicken roll
Food was ok I liked it better when they had the 3 choices with rice. One member of my group had a pork roll and said the meat was dry
