Loved our visit tonight! We had a group of 8, all mid 20s. A very smooth experience all around, and we had some lovely staff members in the hallway who were being very patient with another slightly more difficult customer, but they kept a very positive demeanour. The rooms were great, a good challenge and could definitely come back and do them again - I would recommend bringing at least a group of 4 for best results! A special shout out to Jay who welcomed us and served us at the bar! He was super lovely, warm and smiley, made sure our birthday boy was well looked after, crafted some delicious lemon slices (delish cocktail, highly recommend), and was kind enough to take a photo of our group at the end! Thank you to the whole team!

Amazingly fun experience with the whole family! Plenty of the challenges are that, very challenging and makes your teamwork get put to the test. We went with just a group of 3 but were able to do decent at most of the rooms. Unlike an escape room, where the goal is to escape (win or don’t win), the goal at the hotel is for your team to get as many points as possible. Then afterwards or even before, you’re welcome to the bar. They have a great menu, even though we didn’t eat you don’t have to book into the Challenge Rooms to be able to eat. It’s truly a wonderful spot for a fun night.

My husband and I absolutely loved our first visit to Hijinx Hotel and will definitely be back again with friends. The staff were great and we loved the added theatrics of it all. Challenge rooms were great fun, we were laughing and smiling the whole time. Our booking was 4.30 and we got called in right on time. Highly recommend

The customer service needs some serious work! Surely you would expect to be greeted at the time of arrival to be assisted with understanding where your booking is. We unfortunately missed our challenge room after walking around in circles trying to get assistance from someone. Bar service was also very slow.
High vibes venue, bright and colourful with a lot going for it, just need some thought put into a customers experience!

The challenge rooms were fun. Would be great if the instructions were a bit louder as couldn't hear in the shapes room. When first walking into the hotel hallways it was extremely overstimulating both visually and with an overpowering cinnamon smell. Be wary if you have a condition prone to sensory overload. I don't but I even felt very overwhelmed here. Did the karaoke over in Archie bros aswell. That was OK buy they started the karaoke as soon as we walked in the room, no instructions given and 10 minutes was wasted looking for songs. Would be great if you had a pre-selection or more information/time at the start of the session. The room was very small but our group still enjoyed it. They can bring drinks to the room too which was good. Overall a great time, will be great to come back for all the other things missed. Thanks

I suggest that you book the first session for the day because nothing is wiped down and everything is hands on, besides that it is a fun time for all ages and familys

Everything about this experience is awesome!
The hosts energy is amazing, the elevator ride up really sets up the experience, the decor is awesome and adds to the ambiance, all the challenges are fun and easy to understand and the kids had an absolute blast. The arcade and bowling was a great experience aswell.
Would recommend this place to everyone who has kids or even a cheeky date night where you want to do something fun and new.
All in all, a great day out with the kids!

Great looking venue but didn’t like the games side much at all. Tried to order at table and couldn’t then waited ages to be served.

Games are too crammed and not enough of them and then some are not even working.

We walked through the hotel but didn’t get seen at the counter so looked around for a while no one was at the bar then left. I think it could a great fun place but not quite there unfortunately compared to interstate versions. I expected a lot more honesty

Staff were incredible with guests in particular Clover who had a great charisma with our group!

Games were fun and clean if a bit physicaly demanding back to back. Definitely plani.ng a second trip!

Challenge rooms were good, however once we went to the arcade section they had no idea what we were there for, no details entered for our booking, told we were getting 4 cards for disability access at a reduced rate, only given 2 cards so 2 missed out so we ended up buying normal cards. Disability cards are for free to play games only can’t gain any tickets, or win any prizes, as for bowling, we ordered drinks at the start of our game, after about 20 minutes we finally went to the bar after realising we had not received them, and at that point they finally got us the drinks. As for the game itself, we were told on the phone we had until 3: 30, the game then ended automatically at 3: 20, luckily just in time for us to finish. It kept popping up with a timer telling us the game will stop at that certain time rather than letting us complete it. Despite making it an accessible booking due to having 2 kids with disabilities who needed additional time for bowling. Arcade ehh that was alright once we got going, majority of games out of order or were games that you could win a prize from and so were blocked from being able to use due to having the disability card. Whilst the staff were very apologetic, it definitely didn’t help with the experience considering we still paid more than we wanted and were rushed out the door towards the end.

This venue, the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! All themed and accordingly fitted, we were greeted by fun and enthusiastic employees keen to make our time with them as enjoyable as possible. From checking in at the “lobby”, to ordering drinks at the bar it all felt fun, cheerful and exciting! After entering the games portion of our stay I was greeted by clover, one of, if not the best host I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the get go his quick witted humour and retaliatory banter sealed the evening as one we’d remember. If you’re not afraid of a bit of back and fourth with the staff, clover is more than happy to indulge, entertaining bets, challenges and more than a few light hearted quips. The games themselves were all fantastic, emphasising teamwork with whomever you decide to bring! All in all it was a fantastic evening, great pricing, a varied menu and a wonderful staff. I’d like to end by thanking clover for being brave enough to accept my wager. My final drink tasted that much better knowing it was being consumed by a victor.

You can’t win them all clover.

Till next time - Reece

Once we finally got into the rooms it was pretty good, however, the timings were terrible. On arrival we were told there'd be a 10-15 minute wait as they were running behind. Half an hour later, we were finally called. We had to adjust our booking at the next place and it's lucky they were accommodating. By the time we had finished the rooms, it was over 40 minutes behind.

Fun activity to do with friends. We did 5 rooms and each of them was an enjoyable experience. The decor is good too.

I booked the venue for my sons 12 birthday. The venues theme was visually beautiful, and the kids really enjoyed the activities. It would have been even better if the activities were longer. Our host Lara was very accommodating and great with the kids. Food and service was great. The pizza tasted like restaurant quality. I highly recommend it to any family wanting a fun day out. Thank you to the staff for their friendly service. We will be coming back for more.

Such a unique experience. There did seem to be a lot of running around and chaos from the staff members. The challenge rooms were having technical difficulties. It seemed like a rush of customers in and out. It seems like they over book and customers are just rushed from one room to the next to get as many people as possible rushed through as quickly as possible, which kind of ruined the fun vibe. We wanted to get some photos in the rooms but you aren't given much time at all to even read and understand the instructions before the game starts, then it felt like we were rushed out and onto the next one (staff member popped his head in to move us along on one of the 1st rooms we did, almost as soon as we finished, before I had even grabbed my bag.) The challenges are also shorter times than I had expected. All in all the challenge rooms were a fun concept that could have been better and more fun if it didn't just feel like an unorganised rush. The bowling is well over priced, definitely funky and unique. It was good for a one time experience, but I wouldn't pay that for bowling again. And the arcade was also quite pricey and half of the things in there were out of order, which was disappointing as we expected more from a new establishment. The food was great, price was decent and it all tasted good. The quirky cocktails were the highlight for me. They are fun, decently priced for what they are and they tasted amazing. There are definitely a lot of pros and cons. For a unique experience, I would recommend it but I'm also not sure I'd go back again.

We booked and went in for a date night and had the best time! The staff were so lovely especially out leader Shay. She made sure we knew what to do and helped us throughout the whole experience. We will definitely be back soon to do the other corridor and bring friends with us
