Her Majesty's Theatre reviews
49 Love this theatre and precinct. Smaller theatre guarantees an intimate experience.
Miss Saigon was an incredible production and cast, and we have seen in Sydney and London. We are looking forward to Alice in Wonderland this Friday!
Great venue. However seats at the end of the rows, ground floor miss some stage view. Went to the Nutcracker- programme expensive at $25 and bar food is ridiculously high priced and ran out of some items. Suggest to byo snacks.
Fantastic renovation. Great acoustics but really miss the grand interior of the old theatre.
The renovation has really improved things. There are now lifts for those with mobility issues and the toilet situation is much improved. In the dress circle they had rails which makes it much easier. The stairs are very steep though so I recommend using the lifts if you have mobility issues. One negative is that there are no male toilets downstairs, so they are forced to go up to the dress circle for toilets. The seats are a little bit wider than the ones in the Festival Theatre so it is a lot more comfortable. The gallery on the third floor is very nice and worth a look.
The theatre is medium sized with maybe two floors but highly not recommend the back seat (on the ground floor) for shows as it's Abit difficult to see, being quite far from the stage. Everything else is great, there's a bar, refreshment and toilet area outside the hall.
Beautiful theatre. Love coming here to see theatre shows. Have sat in a few different spots around the theatre and have always had a great view. There is a car park not far from the theatre which works well.
Disabled access needs to be more clearly marked. Not everyone who is in need of assistance is on a wheel chair, but a lift is required.
Had my graduation ceremony hosted there. Beautiful venue. Only downside is that there isn't much waiting room for before events, so majority of the graduates had to wait outside (in the cold) for a half hour before being let in to find seating.
The renovations are beautiful, still a bit crowded in the foyer when you first enter but otherwise beautiful theatre
The new Her Majesty's is great. Comfortable seats, not too squishy, and great sound. It's a shame the lobby is so tiny but other than that it's a great theatre.
Theatre magnificent, pity we couldn't hear the actors speaking, didn't they wear microphones?
Magic of the night what an absolutely fantastic amazing show. Brilliant talent.
Well done all of you. 1
Seats were a bit packed in, we couldn't stretch our legs and we had front row balcony. Price of drinks were way too high.
Sat in the front row of the dress circle. Comfortable chairs with a good view. The inside of the theatre looks lovely. Stairs to get to first floor are much narrower and so you do have to queue for longer
Great performance by the ASO here, and the majesty certainly hasn’t left the theatre over the years!
The recent We can be Heroes the David Bowie tribute could not have been in a better venue. Thank you all and the George Ellis Orchestra just lifted the roof ️to the lady who gave this venue one star as she couldn’t book a single seat I have called Ticketek and got a single seat a few times as it’s not the venue you need to call. You can fill out an online form and they’ll call you back.
Wonderful night, all staff were beautiful and caring and went out of their way to make our night special, thank you so much.
Delightful renovations. Easy access to ladies toilets. Bar too. Friendly staff. Lots of laughter though another wise very serious occasion.
Gorgeous modern theatre that still retains the old lady glamour. Crowds were easily managed, did not feel crushed or rushed. Bars accessible and prices mostly reasonable. Good emphasis on local beers/wines
