Hello Home Doctor Service

My 9 month old was suffering from a hoarse voice (he’s losing his voice), excessive crying, congestion and we called the hello home doctor service as there is a nation wide campaign about seeking advice from GP and avoiding clogging up EDs if it’s not an emergency. I filled out an online booking with ALL the details, I then received a phone call and had to restate ALL those details (not even just to confirm his identity), meanwhile I’ve got a crying baby in my arms. I then received a text message saying that my booking was assessed and that he would be seen as a Telehealth. Extremely disappointing as we booked in order to be seen in person as their advertising states. Furthermore, how is a doctor expected to assess a 9 month old with respiratory symptoms over the phone? They can’t look inside his ears, down his throat, listen to his chest?
Next stop was the ED. Can’t believe a baby under 1 was deemed to require a Telehealth.

Called at 9.30am, didn't come until 11pm when I was asleep! You'd be better off going to hospital ED! Terrible service.

Extremely disappointing! Had my 3 year booked in, waited 6hrs. No-one was even able to tell me a time frame after calling for an ETA twice! Waited 6hrs and still no show.
