Heidelberg cakes is the best cake shop in Adelaide who designed my birthday handbag cake from. James and Jess were wonderful and very accommodating to my ideas and what I wanted. The baci flavoured is so delicious, alot of people at my party asked where did you get this cake from, they loved it so much. How disappointing that new owners have taken over and drastically increased the price. This place used to be my go to for GF cakes that were still fancy. We always got our kids birthday cakes here with 3D fondant etc etc and the price USED to be amazing. You now can’t go in and chat to one of the girls- you have to submit via email so we did that and for a cake that feeds 15 people with only 2x 3D toppers plus some flat fondant on the sides they were wanting to charge $700! Just two years ago we ordered a cake that fed 40 people with lots of 3D and 2D fondant + two tier and it was only $250. Safe to say we will go elsewhere. That’s an insane price hike.

Heidelberg Cakes are great to work with & they make the most amazing (gluten free) wedding cakes. Our couples & their guests just love their work.

Amazing cake, best cake I've had in my life to be honest and I normally dont like cakes; had the standard 7 inch raspberry cake and the lovely girl helped carry it to my car while I was holding my baby.

Went to pick up wedding cake today. Nothing like what was requested. Photo reference given very clearly showing what we wanted. The cake done was nothing like the photo. They offered to refund the cost of the coloured icing they did wrong (which was already excessively expensive) only. I normally do wedding cakes for friends and family but was talked into getting it done by someone else to take the stress of the day. Very much backfired. No offer for full refund or further discount. Won’t be using again

Just picked up our wedding cake didn’t know we were doing bluey theme! Extremely disappointed, didn’t get a refund on the whole cake.

Bought a Croquembouche for my husbands 50th birthday. It was so tasty. The vanilla filled ones were amazing, but the chocolate ones, I'm still dreaming of the chocolate filled ones today. Our guests also raved about it and were shocked when l told them that it was gluten free. Thank you for providing an amazing option for those of us who usually miss out when it comes to desserts.

We recently ordered our vanilla and raspberry wedding cake through Heidelberg. They were very attentive in assisting us to design the cake and even offered us flavour samples. The cake was delivered to the reception venue in plenty of time and was absolutely delicious (and gluten free). Many of the guests commented it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. Highly recommend Heidelberg Cakes!

They shut at 4pm on a Friday. I saw an employee in her car at 4: 30pm, was devastated I couldn't get the cake.next minute someone with the keys came back and got it for me! I mean where would you ever get that kind of service! WILL TELL EVERYONE about this! Thank you so much! @

First class service at Heidelberg Cakes! The young lady really knew her products and was able to answer all our questions. We were able to sample the sorts of cakes that we have ordered and can confirm that they were delicious. Deposits taken for orders over $100 which is reasonable. Looking forward to demolishing the whole cakes very soon.

Recently ordered a cake for my mum's birthday and very pleased with the product. Online ordering was simple to use and the cake presentation was exactly what we asked for and tasted delicious.

For anyone that has Coeliac disease this cake shop is the best. James and his staff are so friendly and the cakes look beautiful and are delicious.

Cake was pretty good but highly disappointed by the delivery they litteraly ruined my surprise!

Great design and taste of the cake, great customer service all the time. The only gluten free cake place we go.

They decorated a birthday cake for us last minute and I will now use them again in the future. Love their Can do attitude and the cake was decorated beautifully and also very fresh

We ordered a cake for our wedding almost 12 days ago on Mohit’s name (pickup date 05/03/2022) and they charged 270 dollar including everything like decoration and writing. But a day before the weeding they emailed us and try to contact us regarding extra decorations charges because we were busy for the weeding arrangements and we couldn’t see the email. We thought we paid everything for decorations and all because the invoice said everything included. I will share some pictures with this review. When we received the cake there was nothing on cake.it was just a plain cake no decoration nothing. Everybody was so upset. We will not recommend this place. Very rude staff and unprofessional.
