When calling to book an appointment I was asked what I would be discussing with the Dr! When I questioned this bizarre comment I was told it is so the Dr can prepare for the appointment? ! What? Utterly stupid and prying not to mention an attempt at breaching medical in confidence.

I thought I had a good experience, so I booked to go back.
But being pregnant for the first time and being told that blood results from over 3 months ago came back with an infection that I wasn’t told about and having to do another set of tests thanks their negligence and then being charged for it taking longer than a regular consult. Disgusting.
I left stressed and upset about an unknown infection, or if it’s affected my unborn baby. Because of this I didn’t even get my referrals needed for other appointments. The whole reason I booked the appointment for.

Absolutely a disgrace of a practise! I Beware! I had a phone consult booked and no text or confirmation text to remind me of my appointment.

The doctor phoned and I missed the appointment and I called back. However in that time. I had reschedule which I did. It’s a week later. I have a phone call I have to pay a full consult fee for missing a call that they never notified me about or told me at the time their was a fee. So I have told if I don’t pay I am not allowed to ever see my doctor.

Totally unprofessional practise I now have to find my little boy a new doctor as the owner obviously money hungry and not in the interest of their patients

We have been here for many years now, happy with the Doctors. What a rude man at the front desk at 4: 17 pm. I was late for 3 minutes then he told me, you are late and make us running late. The Doctor not even ready.normally every visits you guys always made me wait for up to 20 minutes. Then he asked? Do you have a health card? I said No, I have private health insurance, then he gave me a bad look, what a weird person. Probably this clinic only take patients with a health care card now. The consultation was only took 10 minutes, I watched my time, Rude man.

Dr Charlotte Newitt is a real angel. She is always thoughtful and caring in her approach and in providing medical care. Her approach makes people feel comfortable and open to discussion. I feel safe to talk to her and ask any questions. Highly recommend her as a obstetrics shared care GP too.

I called today 17/2/2022 around 11am the Newton surgery to enquire the times of when the blood pathology nurse was there they told me she’s there now and finishes at 1pm. I then replied ok I will be there soon. I’m literally 5-10 min away. Anyway got there at 12.30 did what I had to do checked in “reported to the reception staff that I was there for blood test. I was then told to take a number and ring the bell” as instructed and I did so. I sat down “i then asked if she had someone in her room because the door was shut and I was told that she had someone in the room by the reception staff. I then told the reception staff I had to go to the toilet this would of been about 12.40”. I came back the door was still shut I then asked the receptionist again if she had someone in there “she said yes there was someone in the room I then told the receptionist shall I ring the bell again and she said no she would of heard the first one”. So I sat down waiting next thing I get this person come out towards me ready to leave with her hand bag and “she asked me if I was there for a blood test I replied yes she then said that why didn’t I ring the bell and I replied I did I then said you had your door shut “she then replied to me that I didn’t ring the bell when I turned around and said that the reception staff heard it and I did. ” She became aggressive in her mannerism and basically told me I didn’t ring the bell. (Calling me a liar in a matter of speech) She then “said ok come and get it done and then went on in telling me she had cleaned her room. So I replied don’t worry about it and walked out”. She was very rude to me.
I went elsewhere to get it done at another pathology. I don’t know her name she’s a smaller lady. I hope she gets spoken to. I’m not impressed what happened to May she’s a nice lady. Thanks

"I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people"
- Rosa Parks

Ben is a long term client of this "Health" Clinic. He has suffered from long term breathing difficulties since he was a child and therefore has a genuine exemption from wearing a face mask. Ben attended this clinic for a follow up visit after just receiving surgery (two days ago) that will hopefully help with his breathing difficulties once healed. He was experiencing the usual side effects of having recent surgery including a bloody nose.

The admin at the counter told Ben that he would need to put a mask on or they would need to service him in the car park. Ben politely reminded the lady, whom knew him well, that he had his mask exemption with him and couldn't wear a mask for genuine reasons apart from the blatantly obvious. He expected a polite "okay".

What actually eventuated was that Ben was forced out of the clinic and made to wait 30 minutes in the car park in the sun which exacerbated his nose bleeding and other side effects from the surgery.
The lady told Ben that this was now policy.

Ben experienced pains in his face, worsened headaches, sore eyes, muscle weakness, feint and severe anxiety as a direct result from being forced outside whilst in such a fragile state.

The medical industry is there to protect all people, especially those with genuine health concerns, have you forgotten this?

This is beyond discrimination. This is beyond anything any human should be forced to endure, let alone in a country like Australia. The doctors should have their medical licences stripped and the admin staff should all be sacked. What an absolute disgrace.

Shame on you.

We will be making formal complaints and instructing lawyers to ensure this treatment ends before more people are subjected to this 1940's-eske treatment.

Bad customer service!

We came there for getting blood test and urine test for my Dad. The staff told him doing urine sample and gave to her. After that we waited for the blood test about more than a half of hour, the staffs there did not ask us a word, they were chatting and laughing but didn’t care about us.
So we feel waiting too long, came to ask the staff and she re-checked the paperwork, then she said apologies that she didn’t know that we have blood test, told us to come back tomorrow morning. My Dad has been fasting for the blood test, and i came back home from work picking up him to the nearest Clinicallabs location, but it was bad experience ever!

Not recommended.

I'm so grateful Dr Alvin has the online script referral system and also the Hot Doc online booking system. I have a couple of different income streams which means I'm busy and these platforms make it easier for me to maintain my wellbeing with the clinic. Might want to check link to paypal though, sometimes it doesn't load, despite repeating the process. Thanks so much, Catherine McLaren.

Due to health at newton's bulk billing policy of not bulk billing after 3.00pm weekdays i had to cancel my appoinment because i can't afford it so i had to rechedule for later in the week at the time mandated masks apply that i am exempt from due to disability the clinic refuses to grant me an exemption this is in breach of the law the clinic is after the money and does not care about the pensioner that can't afford to pay after 3.00pm and can't wear a mask due to disability

The staff are always friendly and polite.
It’s never too hard to get to see my doctor. Waiting times are not long.
I believe there are a variety of doctors to suit everyone’s needs.
The rooms are very clean.

I highly recommend Dr Wayne Luderer, who always shows a caring, understanding attitude, and has been knowledgeable to assist me with multiple health issues I've experienced. A top quality doctor.

The reception of the female with blond hair and glasses. His treatment is very bad with the patients. She speaks in a provocative way with us. Please advise her about a good treatment or change the employee to complete your success.

My husband called to pick up a script I had asked for and paid for on-line.
When he stated his reason for being there thewoman at reception asked quite abruptly 'And who are you? "
Now I realise some proof of identity must be necessary in these situations but there is such a thing as courtesy and politeness. The question could have been phrased in several different pleasant ways. The reception area was empty of patients at the time so rudeness due to pressure of work, which is not allowable anyway, cannot be held to blame. This woman was just plain rude and staff must realise that without patients they would not have a job.
Not his ideal experience
