Hawker Hotel Motel

Had a great time at Hawker Hotel! The relaxed atmosphere and extended hours for socializing provided the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening with friends. The experience from 6 pm to around 10 pm was fantastic, allowing for a leisurely time spent together. Cheers to memorable moments and good company at Hawker Hotel!

Basic motel room but clean and functional. Friendly staff. Excellent meal in the dining room. We enjoyed a glass of wine at sunset on the verandah, too.

The pasta special was ok, the warm.chicken salad had pieces of tomato that were ridiculously huge. So the chicken wascok but the salad could have used some attention from being cut up finer (very large quarters). The snitty was ok, but the prawn topping was very disappointing. Bland. And for the bar staff. When someone says their mixer drink is flat as a tack, dont state its simply out of a keg so thats how it is. Obvously the gas was not sufficient. It was like an alcoholic cordial

Stayed in motel room. Friendly staff in hotel and resonable pub food. Room OK but wasn't cleaned, rubbish left outside door. Not hard to do better.

Whilst the staff were apologetic, when you order a "vegan parmy" it usually doesn't gat plated up over cubes of ham, and really the "parmy" was undercooked eggplant with not even any crumbing. Why offer a vegan option if you don't bother to do it properly?

The pub is split into two, with the bar running through the centre. A bit weird, but to get from one side to the other, you have to exit the pub.
A minor inconvenience, but their beer taps were broken when we arrived, but they had cold cans instead.

Ordered a chicken schnitzel and a steak sandwich.
The chicken schnitzel was fantastic and the pepper gravy was hands down the best pepper gravy I've ever eaten.
Unfortunately the steak sandwich was very tough and chewy, lucky for me it wasn't my meal:)
The place could do with a major clean and a bit of a minor update.
The furniture in the main bar was pretty rickety.

I'd still recommend stopping in.

Friday night pizza night, fantastic pizza's, worth the wait due to being super busy. Great service.

Popped in luckily on Pizza night and the food was absolutely delicious. And the beers were cold! Make sure you stop in!

Good country food reasonable prices. Loved the Tennis Ball Rissoles could have handled a third. Good friendly service.

Called in on Saturday 17/12/22 around lunch time. Beer was nice and cold, service was fast and friendly, food was excellent. Keep up the good work.

Basic country pub. Full of atmosphere and not much else. Friendly service. Basic hearty offerings.

Lovely dinner
We had dinner here 2 nights in a row whilst staying in Hawker. We were so surprised with the quality of the meals & value for money. Very friendly service!

Enjoyed two meals here while staying in Hawker. Great pub meals, excellent lamb shanks! Service was very friendly.
Worth booking here - first night was very quiet, but second night there were hardly any tables available. Popular pub.

Old school outback pub in Hawker enroute to the Flinders Ranges, South Australia! Lovely friendly service. Cheap tasty countery's! Situated across from a pretty park with amenities.

We arrived late at Hawker from a long drive, starved and was looking for meals. It was almost 8pm and was lucky that the lady at the counter accepted our orders as their kitchen was closing. Kind and friendly staff. I had the chicken breast with sweet potato and salads. We had great meals. Happy tummies.

We had the rump stake, seemed bigger than the advertised 350 g, cooked as ordered. Chips were crunchy.

A bit basic and poor maintenance but cheaper than alternatives in the area. Ceilings don't quite meet the walls in places.

Dropped past for a lunchtime feed, massive beef schnitty, good serving size. Lovely feed and great service.

Just had a wonderful Friday night (Anniversary) dinner at the hotel. We had our first experience of hot rock steaks and they were mouth wateringly delicious! The chips were beautifully crispy, and the side salad fresh. The folks on the next table had pizza and it looked amazing as well. The staff were really friendly so all in all a great night out. Highly recommend!
