Happy Valley/Reynella East Wetlands reviews
14 Great space for a walk.have seen many photographers capturing wildlife
, people riding bikes and great area for on lead dog walking
Why does this wetlands have a sign saying I can not fish or kayak fish their? It's full of decent sized and hugeee carp, hugeeee yabbies and shrimp that I have seen personally at night with my torch, it would also not surprise me if native eel tailed catfish, short finned eels and other species like invasive redfin live their as well as I know their are lots in the surrounding area ponds/creeks. Possibly people are releasing those fish species in the ponds. I am just very disappointed you cant fish here for invasive species like carp and redfin. What a joke. I just going to fish here anyway but release all native species except yabbies as I do not fish for them i trap them and it's not illigal
Had a very pleasant walk around the ponds nice walking track not very strenuous suitable for every body
One of the best new suburban wetlands in Southern Adelaide. Hard to believe that ten years ago it didn't even exist!
Great place for taking strolls and enjoying the serene lakes and flora.
You do have to be careful of magpies though. Not only that but you might have to hope that no Wendigos come out and attack you, unless you know the Latin words to undo the Wendigo's curse (inside joke).
Overwise, 5 stars.
Edit: forgot to mention, the ducks are the KINGS to this place so don't forget to bow when in the presence of one (not an inside joke just proper manners).
Love the walks around the ponds, seeing the diverse nature, birds, animals too!
Could do with some toilets for families.
Lovely place to walk, have a puppy and she enjoyed meeting everyone else enjoying their walks. Just wish people would pick up their dogs mess
The wetlands is a very nice place to walk around and see the wonderful wild life and animals around the place. Best times to go would be outside school hours or in the school holidays as school kids go out there to film but this isn't that often so you shouldn't have a big problem. Hope that this review is helpful
A lovely place in the middle of the suburbs for a leisurely stroll. Has a diverse flora and fauna. Ducks waddling along with their ducklings during Spring time are a delight to see. Massive black cockatoos and colourful lorikeets are quite a sight to see.
Great walking trail around the wetlands. Lots of interesting bird life. The trees have grown considerably taller over the last few years.
What a great place to go for a walk. Bring the children, your dog and good walking shoes. You might even like to bring some food for the ducks, and maybe yourself too! It would be nice to have lunch here too. There are park benches scattered around and the tracks are stroller friendly.
When the ponds are full and the birds are out it's such a beautiful place to take a walk with the dogs most people are friendly and will have a talk I'm there so often
A beautiful nature walk. Since the wetlands have been here more wildlife has reurned to the area building new habitats. A great initiative
The wetlands are a great walk over the six years I have been walking to there I have noticed how much the vegetation has grown
