Happy Mart reviews
16Got my favourite web foot octopus in spicy Korean sauce from here. Go red if you like it spicy, go maroon for super spicy!
Good selection of Korean grocery items. Friendly shopkeeper took the time out to provide advice on what must have ingredients to make LA Galbi. Delish.
Great little Korean mart. We love the noodles, spicy sauce, kimchi and more. Good selection for a small shop. Oh and the mochi.
I have never been here but if I have to wait a long time for the bus I will pop across the road and check it out. It looks interesting.
Friendly staff, have lots of Korean groceries to shop. I am a regular, love how this family is done with the shop. Only thing would be a little too narrow, need a little more space there.
Lots of varieties of Korean foods, and very fresh! Also the staff are very kind. Love to visit here even it's a bit far from my place
They might provide good service to Korean people, but I got the worst possible. No eye contact, non verbal - just pointed to the sign on the eftpos machine that said "minimum $10". The product I wanted was $8, but I had no cash on me. Again, non verbal, she just shook her head after I asked her " you don't want the sale"? And let me walk out the door. I went elsewhere where they were very pleased to serve me and offered me the option to pay an extra $0.20 as the sale was below $10. The Lady at Happy Mart was certainly not Happy and Friendly
Small somewhat expensive Korean /Asian supermarket. Norwood is devoid of a decent asian deli so this kinda suffices. Don't expect active engagement or service from the staff. The display fridges are stocked with interesting ingredients and ready made frozen meals.
A wide range of Korean and Asian products. Parking is a bit tight. For a shop called happy mart the cashier wasn't very happy.
Great Japanese and Korean Grocery store. I will admit this place is more Korean than Japanese, however still offers good Japanese ingredients too. The prices aren't too expensive and you can find authentic food which is usually not in standard supermarkets. The staff speak Korean but no Japanese. It has limited parking so on busier times can be difficult to get a park. Would recommend it
The wife of the owner is very unfriendly and rude to customers. I would never go back.
Also they are hiring a person who doesn't have a work permit.
Nicely stocked Asian store if you're after Korean goods. Great place to find ingredients for your homemade Korean dishes. It's got a variety of other Asian ingredients and goodies too, like Japanese sweets.
More Korean than Japanese, basic household goods, more kimchi than you'll ever need, sauces noodles same as everywhere else.
Only reasons I go there are its proximity to Norwood Swim School and a particular brand of Korean noodle.
Freshly made rice cake very chewy and soft - great for making ddeokbokki. Vegetable mostly fresh. Great customer service. Very friendly owners. Convenient parking area availabe right outside the store.
Very unkind.the owner did not looking at the customer and never smile
she looks to be always upset. I think she don't know how to talk, just know use her fingers only
