Hallas Fish & Grill

It's been litarelly 60 minutes so far since I ordered and I still have not recieved my take away order. Yet serving multiple people ahead of me who ordered after me? When I rang an hr ago they never told me there was going to be a long wait. I ordered 4 pieces of fish, a large chips and some calamari. So not a massive order either. I am patient but this is honestly ridiculous. Atleast let people know that you are busy and going to be an hr wait so people can go elsewhere if they don't want to waste half there night

TERRIBLE, My whiting and flake were so little portion size it’s disgusting I paid $23 for tiny pieces of fish, Ik what a decent fish portion is, Hilton seafood & yiros portions are so much more acceptable and normal for their flake & whiting. Disgusting your charging that much for pubic hair portions… and both fish taste terrible, “Grilled” but looks terrible and doesn’t taste grilled, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE FOOD DONT GO HERE. Trash. Taking advantage of people during all time high inflation, Makes me furious.

Finally after living in the west for over a year we ordered from Hallas. I had high expectations and boy they were smashed. Best fish n chips I have had in years. Fresh, tasty. Not oily at all and great value. Highly recommend. Cheers.

Very clean shop and cooking area, also staff welcome the customers with a smile and hello, love that! The food was delicious, and cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit you won't be disappointed, and you too will be back again

Not the same as it used to be. Used to be the best fish & chips in the area, not any more. Service is terrible

Hallas is without a doubt the best takeaway shop inSA. I live 20 minutes away and there is probably 20 fish/chips/ hamburger shops closer, after trying a few of them i will go out of my way to go there. Why? They make the best Steak Burgers anywhere. The chips
are the best and there Fish is cooked great. They know i have a reasonable distance to travel and I like my food hot so they double wrap for me put it in a bag and when I get home it's still hot and enjoyable. Karen makes my steak burgers and they are made with perfection. The staff are always super friendly and the service is excellent.
This is a must to visit, you will not be disappointed but will become a regular like me. Great place, Great Staff, Great Value, Great Food

Great tasting fish and chips. Excellent quality. Generous portions of fish. Good old fashioned fish & chip shop. The whole family loved it!)

Ordered snitzel from Halas two nights ago and this is what they sent me, it was inedible. Did email them but no reply, very disappointing

If you want Delicious feed of fish with chips this is the place to go.
They even wrap the fish & chips up the old fashioned way in paper. The fish big serve

As good as it gets. Had one of the best Chicken Schnitzel packs I've ever had here in Adelaide today. Everything was perfect!

Honestly don’t know what potatoes you are using but best chips in our area by FAR.yummo!
edit: had hallas again tonight and you mixed up our order, we realised when we got home and we had to come all the way back with no compensation, some of the chips in our bag were black.really disappointed.

Everything you buy is great.
Crumbed butter Fish a good size, hotdogs, hamburgers, Steak burgers, fried Mars bars and they don't scab out on the chips.
Been going there for years and never had a bad feed. They certainly know there stuff. Well worth visiting and the money.

Great place to grab some food but always have to wait best to do a phone order or dont go when it's busy.

It’s been ages since I’ve eaten fish n chips but I had a real craving for butterfish and potato fritter. I ordered and paid online but when I arrived in the shop they let me know there was a problem with the system and they hadn’t received it, so could I wait a few minutes to get my order done straight away. Sure!
It was worth the short delay. The fish was battered and cooked absolutely perfectly.crisp, hot tasty fish. Batter that perfect golden colour, not too heavy, just right! I was given a couple of extras for my trouble including a scattering of chips which were also cut and cooked perfectly. 5 stars and I see they have a great range of take away food, so I’ll be very tempted to come back when I’m in the mood for anything hot & fresh on the go. Oh, I didn’t eat the salads but they looked great too!

Ordered over the phone 2 hours before I wanted to pick up. Got there at the agreed time and hadn’t started cooking the order.

Love their burgers! None of this brioche nonsense, or pretentious ingredients, just good old school burgers done right.

Beautifully cooked fish and crunchy chips. They also have a good range of salads as well as snack pack options.
We've been enjoying food from Hallas for many years and they never disappoint.

Crispy tasty fish, chips that aren't oily. Close to the beach - never have to queue if we order ahead. Recommend for a fish supper beachside.

Ordered lamb yiros and mixed seafood. Food were really tasty and fresh. Servings were generous and staff were really friendly. Highly recommended and will definitely order again.
