Hahndorf Kaffehaus & Fine Foods reviews
13Great place to stop and enjoy a tasty lunch, the ‚classic’ Reuben sandwich was excellent, do yourself a favour, relax with a nice cappuccino 5 stars friendly service with a smile.
I was on a mission to find a yummy Reuben Sandwich and I am happy to report that I found it and it was delicious! There was enough of every ingredient in the filling. Deliciously toasted. I would happily return to this venue for the Reuben. The service was friendly.
I came to Hahndorf today and found this coffee shop, which had been open five times before. The interior decoration is simple and there are many dining places. Pie is also delicious.
Had a great egg and bacon roll today. Added beerenberg taka tala after it was suggested by the most lovely lady behind the counter. Great coffee too!
Great location promised to have a quiet tea and pie- turned out to be a bit disappointing- the pies were not ‘fine food’ and the tea we had tasted a bit strange. The service needed some polish and the Nippys was a month from out of date. What a pity. The Fine foods and local ingredients were not evident. A few small changes and this would be a full and fine coffee house.
Everything I've tried here has been delicious, but their streusel buns are my favourite! And the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Good coffee and fresh strudel where you can have it served warm Homely ambiance with delightful customer service.
Yummmm delicious Apple Strudels, huge slice with lots of apple filings at reasonable price
Really nice lunch in pleasant surroundings.
The Reuben Sandwich was very good as was the Smoked Salmon and Cream cheese roll.
Our lunch was on the table quite quickly and the prices were very reasonable.
I had the Bratwurst, White Hot Choc, and Pretzel here. The Bratwurst was really good.the roll that it came with was fresh and tasted amazing. The fresh bread complimented the bratwurst nicely. The white hot chocolate was also surprisingly good. It wasn’t too sweet.was just right. The German pretzel was a huge let down though. It was completely stale. Would not recommend the pretzel- it was like a rock. Not sure if I just ended up with an old batch and they didn’t make fresh ones but definitely request a freshly made one if you’re wanting a German pretzel. Otherwise, the food was good and so was the customer service. I would come here again.
Very Disappointing indeed. The Coffee was pleasant however after expecting a german inspired breakfast we were served supermarket bought rye bread, rubbish bacon and tinned baked beans. Poorly executed.
This place could be special if fresh local ingredients were used and sold more traditional style foods.
Probably the best apple strudel I’ve ever had! Not too sugary having overdone the icing sugar, soft and creamy whipped cream, well prepped apples… I’m very particular about my pastries, and this shop is one of the good ones! Sad it’s in a different state to where I live. Five stars!
These pies don't always disappoint me. The customer service of the staff is also wonderful, so there are many customers. I especially recommend chicken pie, but it may be sold out so it's best to visit early.
