I always use their app to order ahead but end up waiting anywhere between 15-30mins after pickup time to actually receive my food- it won’t even be busy! And that’s if I can even get acknowledged by staff! They will blankly look at you from the other side of the prep line or just completely walk by the registers without even glancing at the customers waiting.

Gyg mt barker is the most unorganized, inconsistent mess of an excuse for a Mexican take away.stay away from these thieves they will happily take your cash and slap you in the head with below par food and service.better off going to maccas, oh but you're owned by the same pack of cowboys that only care about lining your fat pockets at the cost of offering a half decent meal. Look forward to your robotic response x

Just stood at the counter for 4 or 5 minutes and never got served! Had one worker literally standing next to where they make the food with his hands behind his back looking at the workers.walked out without ordering, very poor! Can’t really complain about the service as there was none!

The tortilla wrap on the burrito was very chewy, but the pork was really tasty. Everything else in the burrito was just OK. The wait time wasn't great considering we were the only customers who ordered in store and not drive thru.

Food arrived 5 minutes late, which wouldn't be an issue except for it arrived stone cold!

UPDATE: Placed another order today at 4: 30. It was supposed to arrive by 5: 55 and at 6: 05 I messaged them for an update. I didn't receive a reply so I called the store at 6: 20 and was told the order was left outside my carport in the rain half an hour before. No call or notification or anything.

Never order through menulog unless you want to wait, only received half your order and eat cold food. Waited over 2 hours for it to be delivered, half the order was missing and food was disgusting and cold. Won't be back! Extremely disappointing.

Disappointing. After having burritos (slow cooked beef) at other GYG locations I was initially very impressed. The main things I liked about them was the rich exotic flavours and the reasonable quantity of meat, however this GYG it was incredibly disappointing and reminded too much of their competitor's product, burritos stuffed full of rice and beans with only a minuscule amount of meat, it was just a mouthful of bland rice and beans, which was really disappointing.

Go to sit down to enjoy my coffee and then gyg turns on that very noisy music it's that loud you can't think come on have some respect for customers turn that horrible music of we are Aussies and love our Australian music

Very happy ordered while in barker for few nights. Ordered through menulog, 2x kids meals and a burrito. All order was correct and was delivered on time and arrived hot. Tasted great kids loved it, will order again next time we're here.

The focus was very clearly on the drive through service over anyone physically inside the store, the only fillings the burrito I ordered had was meat, rice and beans, and the kid on the register desperately needs a safe food handling refresher course coz *oh my god* you don't handle cash wearing the same gloves you're about to handle food with!

For my frist time, love, love, love it. Had the bowl with barramandi and small chips on side. Chips have yummiest seasoning - nice 'n crispy. Bowl with extra jalapenos was hot, fresh and spicy. Would absolutely go again. Great value at the moment. Ate in at Mount Barker. Great looking tables and music playing. Can also have a mexican beer if you want. Loved it. Thanks guys

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Ive been eating at gyg for a long while. My main one was in toowong, brisbane. Awesome and always filling. Here? Poor. Food has been wrong 2/4 times and tonight i had more rice than topping for my bowl. Save ya money n go to maccas.

Getting extremely tired of the terrible customer service when waiting inside at the counter. Every single time I am left waiting for 5+ minutes without an ounce of acknowledgement from a single staff member. There was at least 6 or 7 staff members working, some just wiping down a bench and still didn't even get a 'hello' or a 'just a second we will be right with you'. Along with this unacceptable customer service, GYG Mount Barker is the SLOWEST 'fast food' service on Earth. To the manager, PLEASE TRAIN YOUR RUDE/LAZY STAFF TO GREET CUSTOMERS AND NOT IGNORE THEM AND MAYBE YOU WILL RECIEVE A BETTER REPUTATION. Would give 0/5 stars if possible, extremely disappointed.

Fries were good but chicken salad was made with far less care. Brown salad leaves and the tomatoes looked as if they were chopped days ago.

Slowest fast food place i’ve ever experienced.been here 20+ times, drive thru and in store and always takes AGES to receive my order.and 50% of the time it’s either wrong, or cold and undercooked.not to mention the inconsistency of serving sizes too.if there was another GYG close i would much rather go there instead.

Terribly slow to be served, always have to wait a long time for your meal, sometimes they don't even call out the number and just put it on the counter (seen it happen to plenty of people) and often the chips are cold. Disappointing every time we have been.
