Great food and friendly service in a cool street atmosphere. Always love coming here for some Gunbae chicken

Visiting from Brissie and looking for a delicious lunch. Found Gunbae and popped in. Nice setting and good simple menu options. Had the Tapas for two and a couple of drinks. The mandoo were hot a tasty with a nice accompanying salad. The chicken crunchy and hot, being a lover of breast meat it was great to see it being used here, cooked to perfection, not dry and overdone. The Yangnyeom sauce was delicious and the crunchy chips with green chilli aioli was Spicey but not too hot. The hosts were engaging and rightfully proud of their delicious food.

Really fun little restaurant that does excellent fried chicken at a price that makes me wonder how they’re making any profit!

Excellent food, great service. We had a good time here. I recommend the Yang nyeom chicken. It’s really good. Also, one person in our group was celebrating her birthday and they brought us funky party spectacles and birthday stuff. That was a nice touch.

Food and drinks were + feed me combo and the soju cocktails were great. The staff gave us vital local Australian knowledge especially Eun-ji. Thank you

Fried chicken is dry, I am not sure why all the review are good and no one mention about their dry fried chicken in review. I came here because of all the positive review and end up disappointing.

If you are reading food review just like me before I wouldn’t recommend their fried chicken.

Fantastic little place. Had the Feed Me menu, couldn't fault a single item brought to our table, absolutely delicious! Cocktails are unique and very more-ish and the service was honestly the best I've experienced, knowledgeable and super friendly. Will definitely be going back.

I love to go Gunbae! Whenever I miss real korean style chicken, I visit there. Tasty exactly same! The owner and staff are so friendly Service is amazing! I highly recommend Gunbae! If you have never been there, you have to visit there!

Great food as usual, but tonight floor General Cameron was the highlight: fast, efficient kind and attentive. Amazings service

The service was very fast and the chicken was delicious. Very crucky on the outside but amazing and tender on the inside. Plenty of flavour and the dipping sauce was great. Nicely flavoured and a bit spicy. The lucntime deals.are a good price $20 for chicken and a beer which I think is great value.
I give everything 5 stars however I removed one in the overall because the tables had lots of used plates on them and could do with being cleared a bit quicker.

Absolutely the best fried chicken and best service I've experienced in a long time! Not only is the food amazing, but our server, Yunji, was an awesome host and super friendly! Try the chilli mayo and volcano chilli sauce, thoroughly recommend!

Grabbed the set menu for 4, the food was fantastic, top tier service from Yunji made it a blast, and I left feeling absolutely stuffed. Will definitely be back.

Some of the best Korean Fried Chicken out there!
Flavours were rich and the chicken was generously coated in the different marinate sauces. Their special Yang Nyoem flavour is definitely worth a try
Service from the staff was friendly and extremely patient.
Serving size was above average and overall a great value for money.

We bought takeaway for the first time last night - and the chicken was sumptuous with great flavours. As was the mandoo. Even better, it was affordable. Also, if you love Kdrama and Kpop - and also want to know about Korea - the young female owner is very knowledgeable.

Unbelievably bad. Paid $34 for chicken that was mushy and luke warm when it came out to the table. The chicken was flavourless and substandard for the price tag on it on top of it taking almost half an hour to get to the table despite me being the only one in the restaurant. Will not be visiting again
