Great pub food. Fresh fish, flexible when it comes diet for vegetarians, great burger. Service is excellent too.

I dined in for a good meal with my beautiful girlfriend, unfortunately she was the only beautiful thing about the place, the interior was older then me and probably older then the nursing home patrons that occupied the dining room. I always finish my plate, but not tonight. Terrible.

Longest wait for the food! Food was not horrible, but the wait did not make it worth it: (. My brothers and I came down to victor for the day in hope to have a great day but this was made difficult by the lengthy waiting period of over an hour for our food! We feel a bit disappointed with this service and will not be returning unfortunately

Perfect location. Rooms can be noisy. Rooms need tissues. Basic stay for a night or two, pretty good for the price.

We went back with my wife and enjoyed the sumptuous seafood platter for 2! ️

What a great pub to go to.the staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and accommodating. The meal we had.seafood platter for 2 was divine, tastefull and filling. The bar staff and floor staff are an asset to this establishment. Charlie was new to his job, and he is a natural for the hospitality industry and his customer service was amazing. 2nd to none. Job well done to all staff. Thank you for a beautiful meal.

Food was good, however the half dozen oysters that were supposed to be included in the seafood platter were missing. No apology and no refund.

On the main St nice to seat outside for a beer on a warm day. Smaller than other 2 pubs so it's a bit more cosy

Service was excellent. No booking but the girl cleaned and set up a table for us. Fantastic prices and a bit of a wait as they were very busy. Food was delicious and worth waiting for. A perfect evening

Service was lovely, location was okay. Meals were a little on the expensive side. We got the seafood for two. It was nice.

Over the past 6 months the food is becoming increasingly inconsistent. Someone needs to regain control over what's coming out of the kitchen.

Thank You, Gale, Carol and Kitchen Staff for another Great family Celebration. Lovely food, excellent service. Our gathering of about 24, was our 3rd in 18 months (90th, 70th and 50th) at this great venue. Thank you again.

Lovely old building and great food.
However the service is a bit casual for such a lovely building in a prominent tourist location

Walked in for today
lunch. Waitress ignored us at the bar and asked the couple who walked up beside us and they asked if they wanted a table. What's her problem not impressed so we walked out.

Good serving sizes, the junior floor staff were friendly and attentive! The senior staff really seemed to not care, came off as rude and made you feel as if you were imposing by being there. Despite working behind the bar, the senior staff couldn’t make cocktails and said that the specific person who comes in to do that wasn’t there.

Decided to give the local a try for dinner,
On entering you get that traditional pub feeling plenty of seating and could cater for a large group no problem.

Ordered the Oysters they come quick and where as you would expect of a pub something to get started. The salt and pepper squid was great and more then enough so that was great.

The Roast of the day was great however the meal was lacking in size asked for roast potatoes only and turned up with half a potato which was very disappointing

Overall was traditional pub feed if your looking for special complexity this is not the place

I rang the hotel at 7pm on a Saturday night and was diverted the the night duty message service?

Decent steak and seafood platter.but absolutely revolting Asian salad and when asking for steam veg/ mash potato for replacement was told begrudgingly to take salad home and try eat there (it was revolting the first time) finally got a small child serve of mash potato and steamed veg. 1 staff member was great but the rest should not be in the industry

Had Our Alex's 50th there on the 1st April 2022, was a great place to have it, but I didn't find the barman that friendly

The food was absolutely phenomenal and the staff were friendly and helpful
And OMG the Schnitty was to die for
