Great Northern Lodge

Stayed here many times while working away. I have enjoyed relaxing in various apartments on the Lodge that have all been clean and comfortable. The open shower, bathroom thing can make you feel a bit naked. There is a bath if that bothers you. Spacious modern rooms, big T. V and free WiFi. Wendy at reception, keep up the good work

The Great Northern Lodge was perfect for us. Wendy was so welcoming and went out of her way to accomodate our family of five, including three teenagers. The apartments are clean and beautifully appointed. Wendy and Sally have a long connection with Quorn and surrounding area so a great souce of local history if you get a chance to have a chat. Fantastic experience. Thanks Wendy and Sally. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great place to with good facilities. The rooms are spacious and clean. The lodge has ample car parking and a Tesla charging facility.

Stopping in at Quorn then book yourself into the great Northern. It has a single bed downstairs under the staircase and a queen bed upstairs with an open plan bathroom upstairs but it provides enough privacy if you are sharing with others.
If you need another single bed then the staff will put another bed into the loungeroom and the mattresses are comfy. You have a kitchenette with a microwave, TV and a couch.
Wifi available. Want to head out for a pub meal then take a 5 minute walk to the Transcontinental hotel where you can get a pint and some pub grub, the chips and gravy are good.

Fabulous place to stay, new, fresh, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Large comfortable bed. Everything provided including large bottle of clean drinking water under the sink. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to other travellers Thank you to the hosts.

Wow, what a fantastic place to stay! After a hard day riding to unwind here was impressive! The best hosts, on my list to stay again. The dinner in the Bistro next door amazing taste!

Amazing apartments with all amenities available. So accommodating to ensure our group could have a BBQ on site. Exceptional

We enjoyed our stay here at the Great Northern Lodge. Wendy was so welcoming and friendly. The apartment was newish and was spacious. Nice lounge, big TV, huge double shower, comfortable bed. Rainwater was supplied as tap water isn’t so nice. It was so lovely to stay in a place that didn’t have notices everywhere dictating what to do and not do. I liked the way the outside garden was set up with lots of fruit trees and vegetable beds. Only small complaint is that we could hear the people in the apartment above us walking about, but it didn’t last long.

Great place to stay in Quorn. Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. Our daughter was given a room upgrade before she did the Heysen Trail which was much appreciated. Highly recommend!

Nice loft with a comfy bed.
Microwave was a bit dodgy but I got it going.

Excellent place to stay, beautiful clean modern rooms, staff at reception at Emily's were friendly and helpful. Bed felt like a big fluffy cloud.

So glad I found this place! I Stayed in a ground floor apartment. Very spacious, clean and quiet. Upon entry is the kitchen/dining/living area. Around the corner is the bedroom, which has no common wall with the neighbour, as behind the bedroom is a massive luxurious bathroom. After a very long day of driving, it was so great to have somewhere almost like home to stay. I can totally see how people would base themselves in such a great property to visit Flinders Ranges and ride the railway. I certainly plan to do just that in the future. So much better than staying in Port Augusta. Quorn is quiet though, but if you think ahead and bring what you need, all good. There is a small IGA, some cafes for lunch, but nothing for dinner. There are a couple of awesome looking pubs though (but was too tired to check them out this time). Quorn is a very historic little place.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and well appointed with a kitchen and lounge room downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
We found descending the stairs a little hard on the bare foot when descending and the bathroom/toilet is open plan (ie no door) so if someone has stomach problems everyone will know it.
The location is good, just one block back from the main street and it's 2 pubs. There was a cafe/restaurant in the reception area that seemed to be doing a roaring trade as we headed back to our apartment on a Monday night.
A surcharge was added to the room rate for using a credit card which we did not realise when we paid. We had booked direct.

We loved our stay here, room was very comfortable, clean and modern, had lovely views from the balcony, and central enough to be easy walking distance for dinner at the pub. It’s a quiet location, had the best nights sleep, we will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at The Great Northern Lodge was so enjoyable and comfortable. Thanks so much Sally and your team! You guys were an absolute life (and mattress) saver, when we forgot to pack nappies for our 4 night stay in the Flinders. You guys came with the goods when all the shops were shut. Thanks for going above and beyond for all our needs. Would totally recommend this place. Such new, clean, and well thought out apartments.
