Grand North

Caught up with a friend for lunch today at the Grand North bistro on Grand Junction Road, Northfield. Pleasantly surprised I had a porterhouse steak 200gm for $20, great flavour with pepper corn sauce. The chef was
very personable with a fun sense of humour. David Wilcox is the head chef, classic, simple, delicious food. I highly recommend for fresh food. They are still offering self selection fresh vegetables and salads a hidden gem.

Took a friend out for lunch. Have not visited for a while, glad I booked as it was very busy. We both enjoyed our meals - Salmon w Asparagus & S&P squid. Lovely service esp from wait staff on the day. Would dine again. No pics this time

Unfortunately most of the staff have no personality, the whole place needs a complete refurbishment. Will not be rushing back

Kitchen staff missed the mark today. Ordered 5 different meals and all were overcooked and dry.

Steak Wednesday used to be my family favourite!
In the last 6 months the prices went up 3 times more than 30%. I understand prices goes up but the steak got smaller and we get even less chips, which it doesn’t justify the reduction of quantity and size considering we are paying more.
I won’t be going back anymore

We’ve been to this place last night for grand daughter’s birthday, pub meal to be expected not like the quality restaurant meals. But at least serve the meals how the customers wanted it. My partner ordered for medium rare rump stake, inside is uncooked outside is dry, some of the meals that’s been ordered came out wrong, mash potato is like dry paste. Senior staff are a bit rude. This is our first time and will be the last time.

A lovely space to eat out, have been coming here for literally years. I'd like to thank the chef for providing excellent meals for my family at birthday celebrations

Wow.what a great place to eat, friendly atmosphere. The place was clean, service was excellent & the food was yummy. When we arrived the business was nearly full if dinners, we ordered our food & it came out within 10/15mins nice & hot. Highly recommend this establishment & will be coming back soon.

Great pub meals. Usually only go there for lunch when I am out that way, never had a bad meal. In and out, quick and efficient service. Can't ask for much more

Visited Grand North on a Monday night which is "steak night" $19. Absolutely yum, tender & so tasty. Very nice salad & vegetable bar. Also a very pleasant, roomy environment.

Had lunch here and very reasonable meal for the price. Self serve Vegetable/Salad bar was ok but veggies were overcooked and too soft for my taste.

The food was delicious, I had the cheap lunch menu fish, thinking it would be only 1 piece was surprised to find 2 pieces. They had a salad bar there as well but i was unable to finish what was on my plate.so can't tell you what the bar food was like, but it had both hot and cold food. My companions said it was fabulous.
The staff were delightful. The place was quite packed but the food was delivered very quickly. I really can't say I have any negatives regarding this place, I will come again and soon

Had a group dinner here to celebrate my friends birthday. A few of the friends said their meals were nice. But my meal was not very good. I ordered a steak with midium well. The steak came out small and it was black on one side and it tasted very bitter. It was very hard for me to eat it as it was very bitter. Not worth $27.90 I think the price was. Would not order the steak here again. The salad bar was OK. They have special menu with everything $15. Some of my friends ordered from that menu.

Great staff great food plenty of parking. Only got 4 stars because of the view. You'll have to visit to see. You won't regret it.

Really nice venue, great staff, delicious food, and a great selection of salad and vegetables on the buffet. Cheap drink prices too I went here for the first time last Thursday night (12 / 05 / 22) and I will be back. Staff made me feel welcome

Had lunch there today very nice very affordable, good food, good service, but clean the cobwebs up from behind the blinds facing football oval and the spiders too please ️️️️️

I went to eat prawns and fish yesterday, and found that the fried prawns had hair stuck inside, so I won't go back.
