Gorge Wildlife Park reviews
63 Absolutely love this place.
The new upgrades look amazing, and the staff are super friendly, patient and welcoming!
(Thanks for your wonderful customer service Sam)
If you want a reasonably priced day out, then head to this place.
Cost $90 for 2 Adults and 4 kids aged over 3, we took our own lunch/snacks and drinks and spent a good 3.5hrs. Lots of picnic spots, and places to sit along the way for tired legs to take a break or shady spots for a mum to BF.
Toilets were clean, enclosures look beautifully kept.
Only down side is the koala holds sell out quick, so book ahead, but the bonus is you can still have a photo and pat for free.
Can't wait to come back, we saw a mum & son doing a meerkat experience, which is something we would love to do next time.
Great animal park, really not too expensive compared to the others and you can hold a koala for a few dollars more! An incredible experience
A great plaice to visit. Only just outside Adelaide and if you want to cuddle a Kaola it's the place to go
Absolutely amazing place. Who needs elegal medication when you have animals.
Creatures seemed well cared for. As were not fearful, but interactive with me. Wonderful coloured birds & mammals plus more. A total delight.
Love this place. The compound is not huge compared to many wildlife parks. Happy that the place is not crazy crowded with tourists. The park is nice and cosy with open spaces for many free roaming animals like the kangaroos, wallabies, peacock and a variety of birds. Highly recommended.
Gorge wildlife park is more like a zoo. I thought it would be similar to Cleo and wildlife park where most of the animals are in open place. It has more diversity in terms of spices though in most cases there are only couple of them. One of the rare spices I would say is the white kangaroo. Besides one can also find peacock, small penguins, crocodile, ostrich, camel and big wombat.
It’s a small zoo so can be finished looking around within a hour. They also have koala holding, which was nice to look into.
Better to go there in the morning hours if one prefer to feed the animal.
It was a bit stinky in the birds area.
Spent a wonderful 2 hours with our son's family. Reasonably priced for pensioners and families.
What an amazing place, we did not know what to expect and this beautifully presented and maintained wildlife park certainly exceeded our expectations! With an extensive range of delightful creatures great and small, all living in beautiful habitats, we almost ran out of time to see them all and will definitely be returning one day. This park is a must see for any visitors to our state and anyone who lives here and hasn't visited yet!
Have just got home from the wildlife park. What a fabulous day. Initially went to feed the Lemurs and hold a Koala. What an experience. Loved every minute. Great place to take the kids and overseas visitors. Buy a bag of food and feed the greedy kangaroos. Loved it!
From the staff to the environment to the way the animals were treated this place is fantastic. So much to see and so exciting. Great for the young ones.
Always a fantastic time here! Great for the kids and adults, huge park. Very few flat, stable surfaces so would not recommend for people with impaired walking.
Great place to spend the day with the family and you get to cuddle the cute koalas at a small fee
Gorgeous little interactive wildlife park. Can hold Koalas, choose to interact with meerkats, feed kangaroos and albino kangaroos, feed the monkeys and watch them pull up there bucket. Always a hit with kids and tourists.
Very interactive with a walk through aviary, petting zoo, wallabies and kangaroo sanctuary and camels that can be fed. Many great animals to see and take pics of, beautiful peacocks roam free among the park
Took the cameras and no grand kids so I got to see everything I wanted. Left after more than 5 hours. Small but lovely.
In one word I could say awesome! But this place takes a lot of words to describe it! Great selection of wildlife to see! Nice area! You can see everything in less than a day and time to relax and feed the kangaroos who are always friendly and happy to be fed! Koala holding which is very popular! I have been here at least a handful of times and the staff has always been friendly and helpful! I totally recommend this place and look forward to my next visit!
It's a great place to spend time with the family. Kids will absolutely love it. Mine certainly did:) They got to see lots of animals up close.
Great experience, staff great. My only complaint was that all animals not always properly defined. Map difficult to use. Grandchildren had a blast.
Fabulous place! Took a small school group here and they had a wonderful time. Staff were super accommodating and willing to help out to ensure all students had a great experience and learnt about the importance of conservation. Thanks Gorge Wildlife Team!
Loved it People pleasant area clean and tidy Plenty of areas to sit and eat. Just a warning it is hilly so be prepared Not great for prams or people with problems with uneven or hilly area. I use a stick and was determined to do the walk.and did just rested and watched where I walked Sorry though don't think I will risk it again.only as I lose balance on uneven ground easily not because I didn't enjoy it Check costs also as it is about the same as the Zoo or close to I'm sure they have family rates though
