Went there yesterday, was cold, and raining, but the beach was lovely and clean. Heaps of parking available too
Beautiful sunset. Driving on the beach is fairly easy, mostly hard packed. The beach access can be a bit soft at times
Slightly stinky from the rotting fish washed up on the dunes but as long as the wind is blowing towards the land, you should be able to rush past that slight unpleasantness with relative ease
First time down here. Great experience. I've always wanted to go exploring down to the river mouth and was great to do it in the comfort of our Prado. Picked a heap of cockles from the water to use as bait for fishing. Can't wait to get back there again!
Drive on the beach for kilometers! What a experience! Needs 4WD, the further you drive the softer and deeper the sand gets.
