Gomersal Wines reviews
26Tasted some nice wines came away with a few to savour. Very nice surroundings. Ideal wedding venue. Both ceremony and reception
We had a wonderful time at the Gomersal winery. The wines and the gins were excellent. Gabrielle and Barry took great care of us. We enjoyed the company, the wines and the atmosphere. A great afternoon. Highly recommend the venue, the wines and the gins.
Just popped in to one of my favourite Barossa cellar doors only to be greeted by my favourite cellar door host Gaby. EOFY 40% off sale on now, so do yourself a favour as Gomersal wines are fantastic and at a very reasonable price even b4 the discount.
From the moment we arrived at Gomersal Wines we fell in love with the place, and Gaby too. Our wedding was truly magical! The venue is so beautiful, it has everything you need. Gaby made us feel so special and was incredibly patient with our multiple postponements. Their wine selection is delicious and definitely offers something for everyone. All the staff were very welcoming to our guests and nothing was too much to ask. We loved being able to take our bridal party up to the vines for a few photos. I honestly want to do it all again, it was so perfect! Thank you Gaby and your team. Hannah & Josh, 16.04.2022.
The absolute percent experience! The wine overall is perfect and delicious to taste while collecting wine for your cellar and taste now! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! 6 stars!
Beautiful beautiful venue for a wedding, lovely staff with a lovely demeanor to help us all enjoy ourselves. Children had a lovely little play outdoors, food was incredible and the evening was very well organised with kind and friendly staff.
Awesome tasting experience and so knowledgeable at Gomersal! So nice sitting outside with wines and pats of the resident dog, Rocky. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!
Where do I even start, Gomersal Wines are amazing to say the least! My husband and I had our wedding there on the 13.2.22 and from the moment we attended the winery for the first time Gabby and Aleesha went above and beyond for us and couldn’t have made our wedding more perfect. Thank you so much, we will definitely be recommending you to friends, family and even strangers.
We had the delightful Alicia/Alisha serve us today for our wine tasting. Accommodating, informative and fun. Charming venue. Reds were delightful and on the sweeter side, which we liked a lot.
Had a very special visit at Gomersal. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and directed to sit anywhere. Gaby gave us the VIP treatment. Not only did we taste some stunning wines but were given a gin and tonic as well. Their gin is as good as any I have had.
We were very impressed with the wines - had no intention of buying any but bought 2 dozen for family and us as well some gin.
The building is sited in a pretty valley with vineyards on all sides. It’s a beautiful outlook with lots of history.
I highly recommend a visit.
SUCH 'RUDE, OBNOXIOUS' UNACCOMMODATING UNWELCOMING STAFF' NO WELCOME AT THE ENTRANCE, TOTAL CONFUSION ABOUT ANYTHING THEY OFFER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE, TOTAL UNFRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE WE WALKED OUT HUNGRY! HAD TO ASK WHAT IS ON OFFER HERE, NO STAFF GUIDED US TO LET US KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS VERY HAPPY ATMOSPHERE AS ADVERTISED ALL WEEK ON RADIO FIVE AA! WHAT A DISAPPOINMENT.
EXPECTATIONS WERE NOT MET.after hearing the constant 'advertising' ON RADIO FIVEAA by the Male Owner of this Winery, that there would be a free 'sausage sizzle' for all attending, a big range of 'cheeses to sample before buying'. The half price wines was a true fact. My girlfriend & I drove for 2 hours to get to this Fun Occasion, only to be subjected to a rude female owner & her staff, when I gave them very poor feedback about the $5 sausage pack (1 sausage inside a cardboard box with a tiny slice of bread, and a little dip of sauce), we paid $10 for 2, then told there was a 'cheese platter' for $15, so we spent $25 in total, to our huge shock, they put a 'mouthful of cheese & another tiny mouthful and 2 crackers in a bigger cardboard box, again consuming more environmental waste in packaging material. The female Manager was so rude she removed our food from the table we sat at inside the Winery, where they were selling their wines, and gave my girlfriend our $25 in cash as a refund. The Manager never apologized that we were upset about our unfriendly experience or by the 2 girls at the gate who never even bothered to welcome us inside. So the animals brutally slaughtered which were the 'sausage meat' were just thrown into a rubbish bin, together with the 2 bites of cheese which poor cows had to suffer to produce for human consumption. AND THERE ARE POOR PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM FAMINE, WAR AND FOOD INSECURITY! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE WE CAME OUT HUNGRY FROM THIS WINERY WHICH WAS ADVERTISED A WHOLE WEEK ON RADIO FIVE AA, NOT GOING AGAIN.
Love their wines, Gaby is an absolute gem. Thanks for your fantastic wines. The tasting is always an experience that is never forgotten
Extremely poor service by owner. Was drunk and abusive. It appears customers are second on the business plan.
Visited here as part of a wine tour. All I can say is that my experience at Gomersal was infinitely better than the other wineries we went to. Firstly we were greeted with a glass of wine and an introduction to the history of the winery before we even entered the cellar door. This was the only winery to do this. Secondly the winery had obviously prepared for our arrival as all the wines we were sampling had already been prepared and laid out very neatly at our table. They had separate glasses for each wine and again this was the only winery to do this. Thirdly the talk we had from the wife of the owner (whose name I’ve unfortunately have forgotten) was a lot more personal and genuine than we got from the other wineries. The other wineries wanted us to taste and then leave pretty much.
Lastly the wine here was of much higher quality than the other wineries we went to. Our tour bus of 18 people unanimously and emphatically agreed that Gomersal was the best winery that we went to. Well done Gomersal you did an extremely good job and as a result I will be recommending you to everyone here in Brisbane.
The lady that gave us our wine tasting was fabulous. Very funny and friendly. Platters & wines were amazing. Highly recommend.
Make the effort to go to Gomersal wines, you won't regret it. Excellent wines, and great value for very good quality.
Owner is a toser! Kicked us out on the barossa gourmet weekend because we sat down at a table and he asked us to move when we didn't know who he was and we had bought 4 bottles of wine and a few platters so spent plenty of money and wouldn't give us a refund.said we had a glass out of the bottle (only been there for 5 mins). Will never go back again.
Owner: “Don’t sit there. I’m the owner, now F#%k off”
Went to Barossa Gourmet weekend and the owner abused my young family after simple confusion over a table and seat! Whilst other partners were apologetic and refunded money - it’s a poor excuse for customer experience.
Tip: don’t drink and get drunk then abuse customers.and please use a breath mint.
We won’t be coming back, we won’t buy your wine, we won’t spend another $ on your pathetic representation of the beautiful Barossa Valley.
DO NOT VISIT.
Gabby is a lovely host, there is a great atmosphere in the cellar, and gardens are a great spot for kids to run around. The wines are great tasting, and great value.
A must stop-at if visiting the Barossa. Fab wine and the rustic but immaculate setting was amazing. The wife & I enjoyed a bottle in the beautiful grounds while the young one explored the grounds. A true barossa experience.
