Golden Rooster reviews
16Authentic Taiwanese food! The beef noodles and the popcorn chicken are absolutely the best in Adelaide! Definitely going back!
Was amazing. Staff were so polite and friendly. Food was sensational. Definitely will be going back
Crispy salted chicken is great! ! ! Very very delicious! ! ! The hot pot dipping sauce is delicious! ! ! Recommend! ! !
Ordered the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, the beef taste good, but the soup is a bit too salty. This is more like Japanese style Raman, too much noodles, but not enough of soup. Service and decor are fine, but a bit pricey
It was my first time to come. The staff service is very good, they are friendly and very nice smile. They recommended me signature milk tea. The salt pepper chicken was authentic and the fresh prawn was delicious. Overall service and food were very good, very reasonable price. Really recommend this restaurant
We ordered herbal mutton hot pot, beef brisket noodles, and crispy chicken ~ all delicious! Especially the muttonThe service attitude is also super good~ I will go to a store again
The food is authentic, and the service is great. It’s nice to have a small hotpot in the cold winter, really warms me up
Cozy little restaurant with THE BEST vibes! They also offer alcoholic beverages so it’s a good place to hang with the gang!
Food was very good. We especially loved the Slow-Cooked Pork Belly & Green Chilli Chicken & Mushroom Hotpot tasted clean and flavourful. Perfect for a cold winter night! They also have a dish that includes duck blood which is nice and spicy for anyone who’s up for an adventure!
All in all, a really lovely spot! Would definitely come back for more.
Authentic Taiwanese Food!
I really like the hotpot series, and I have tried most of it. The portion size is big enough for two people to have a good feast, and the taste brings me back to the night streets of Taipei. I was there as an exchange student for one semester and will never forget how good the food was! The service is also fantastic, always asking for feedback and constantly responding to you. 5 STARS RECOMMENDED!
Easily the best hot pot I’ve had in Adelaide!
The flavours are so good and clean. Recommend the Thai milk tea too - taste so authentic
The service was fabulous and so friendly!
Good food
GOOd sevice
i love here recomment this place for hang out with your friend
Must try beef noodles soup. Finally can enjoy good Taiwanese food in Adelaide
Went there again. Had lamb hot pot. Delicious
There are very few Taiwanese restaurants in Adelaide CBD, but it is terrific.
The clerks are very enthusiastic, considerate in service, and care about customers' feelings during the meal. The overall atmosphere is very warm.
Foods here are very authentic. Whether it's small portions, such as beef brisket noodles and salted crispy chicken, or large portions like lamb hot pot, the taste is very delicious and umami. Especially dishes with soup are very suitable for winter for warming up.
Definitely I will have next meal again. Highly recommended.
Meals:
The crispy salted chicken is super delicious! The kind that squirts juice! There is also a nine-story pagoda inside, which is completely Taiwanese!
The braised duck blood tofu stew is also delicious. I can eat two servings by myself. The duck blood and tofu are very tender, well seasoned and spicy!
The chicken rice that is not on the menu is also delicious! It tastes so Taiwanese! It tastes like oily rice.
Shacha Beef Pot is as its name suggests, unremarkable. The disadvantage is that the super small pieces of meat are hard to get, and the overall portion is also very small. If you light the pot, you will definitely not be full.
The braised duck feet are so-so, and the smoky smell is a bit heavy, which I personally don't like.
The mutton stove is very salty. After adding boiled water twice, the more it cooks, the more salty it becomes. There is no taste of medicinal food, but the smell of braised sauce is a little stronger.
The beef noodles are super unpalatable.the noodles are rotten and the soup is dead salty.
Service: The service attitude is superb! Both the boss and the waiter are very nice!
Atmosphere: The overall environment is small, and it is quite difficult to park nearby.
All in all, if you like Taiwanese flavor, I still recommend everyone to try it! Anyway, I will definitely return for the first three items! ! It is a rare orthodox Taiwanese flavor made by Ade.
Last Saturday night 6 of us tried green chilli chicken pot (see the picture), satay beef pot, briased pork rice, salt pepper chicken and pork belly with garlic. Very small dishes, so expensive and tasteless (except briased pork rice). Couldn't understand why they charge almost $50 for the chicken hotpot with boiled chicken, and $45 for the beef pot with only 150g beef slice in it, the waitress said that is the standard. $18 salt pepper chicken with 8 small pieces.
No ideals why they have lots of 5 stars reviews wrote by new Google account which only give them reviews.
Second visit to a group of people
On a cold day afterwards, two people went to order a hot pot to eat, it was refreshing~
Go when you miss Taiwan beef noodles, and relieve your homesickness~
Each watermelon guava has its own advantages and tastes, and the tastes of northern, central and southern Taiwan are different, but it is true that the Taiwanese taste is made by Taiwanese
