Golden Elephant Indian Restaurant reviews
44 Excellent quick takeaway food for lunch, or can dine it at dinner. Reasonably priced too.
Authentic Indian food.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Golden Elephant tonight. We found the food to be delicious. Our waiter helped us choose our meal, we had Thali plates for both entree and main. This gave us the opportunity to try a selection of different dishes and flavours. Our waiter also helped us choose a couple of exceptional local wines to have with our meal. Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant was a pleasure. We found the prices to be very reasonable, no more expensive than anywhere else and great value for money. Thankyou Golden Elephant for a great food experience. We will be back when we next come this way.
I ordered two entrees n main course.the staff- was so unprofessional.they didnt even know what to serve when.she gave my entrr after main course even after asking.and plates after all served.food taste is gpod less dishes o. Other guy serving was professional. Menu.dont try dal-"Dhal". Its waste of money.
I been there on Saturday, had falafel kebab and chips, it was delicious, great service, friendly staff.
Our family had a lovely dinner here. The food was both delicious and well presented. The staff are super friendly and hospitable. Great vegetarian and vegan options. We will definitely return.
Absolutely delicious food for a fair price. Chips are beautiful. I have eaten a whole party size pizza and large chips from Golden Elephant I love it. I am getting to become a big boy yummers
My family and I decided to have some Indian food for dinner as we were visiting Berri. If I'm not wrong this is the only Indian restaurant in Berri. Firstly we've decided to have dine-in and looked on the Menu. OMG! The price was insane. Almost all curries are about $30 which is not at all worth. So we decided to go somewhere else and while going back we had a look onto Take Away Menu which was much cheaper then dine-in. The price difference was huge.
Food was good but very expensive.
The best butter chicken I've ever had.
The best pizza I've ever had I recommend the butchers block.
Lovely friendly staff 5 out of 5
The Golden Elephant is one of the most popular take away places in the whole area, gets very busy some times with good food, even fish and chips.
Hoped to eat at the Restaurant here today for lunch, however Website times are not correct. We ended up grabbing takeaway and eating in the side area. Two dishes were very good, the Samosa's and the Chicken dish. Rice and Vegetarian dishes were nothing special. We did need a bag to repack our leftovers and it seemed to be too much for the staff to cope with. This was a simple request after spending more than $90. In the end we recycled the bag we had.
Loved the food the chips were amazing great seasoning and good size. Prices were fair, would love to try the Indian food next time I'm in Berri.
I have been to the Golden Elephant twice now & have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent & the service was 1st class. Our waitress (Amy) couldn't do enough for us, congrats on finding such a conscientious worker. We will definitely be return customers. Doug.
We had butter chicken and it was delicious it was lunch and the restaurant was not seating people inside. So we ate under the outdoor area was quite nice. Would recommend it
Present as part of a group booking.
Friendly service. Delightful food - I can recommend the vegetarian thali.
I went to the Indian restaurant with some friends for my birthday. I usually have their paradise chicken but I was brave and tried the Dahl Maharani. Oh wow it was truly delicious! We all had a lovely evening and enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Food was nice, service was good, disappointing factor was our wine was not pleasant, we could not drink it, and on asking about the wine, the bottle had been opened for a couple days.
Malai kofta and chicken tikka masala both curries were fabulous. Tandoori roties were really good and soft. Also, gave good amount of garden salad. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner
Bad experience! Naan is not cooked properly, its like pizza dough! The service is horrible waited for 2 hours and the curries are sooo bad! Not recommend place to eat!
Place order over phone beforehand will save alot of time waiting. The taste was Not as I was expecting maybe next think about my choices not happy! And service girl wasn't very helpful.as it was my first time ordering and asked about roughly the portions sizes to buy for 4 people.and gave as small container.that maybe for 2 people to share.plus side great rice.
Love the lunch specials of curry, rice and naan.
At dinnertime it can get busy so it's worthwhile calling ahead with a takeaway order.
