Ginling Chinese Restaurant reviews
62The food not good quality than before, ask if the chef changed, got rude reply with no. I certainly never going there again.
Ordered takeaway. The food is way overpriced for the quality.
I feel like the restaurant cheated me on the menu. I ordered salt and pepper squid from the entree and they gave me the whole meal for the full price. The lady in the front argued with me regarding what I ordered. The special fried rice was special in the sense that it was terrible. It was indeed special.
The BBQ pork that I got was really sweet, I didn't realise BBQ was that sweet after living in the US.
Overall, a 1 out of 5.
Cheap chicken scraps, imported, in the chicken dishes, only instant coffee no tomato juice cannot recommend.
Ordered uber eat tonight from this restaurant for the first time and the food was quite disappointed. Special fried rice was soggy and crab meat corn soup wasn't great because the crab meat wasn't very fresh and the taste quite smelly. Only the sweet and sour pork taste alright. Not sure if I would order again for the second time
We order from Ginling quite a bit (mainly takeaway) the food is always fantastic.
We make a few changes in some orders and they are always happy to do so.
Always a friendly greeting from staff. Prices are very reasonable.
10/10
Fast and efficient service, stay very friendly and courteous, the food very tasty, reasonably priced. Very enjoyable night.
A traditional Chinese restaurant that services the community and Adelaide. From the outside it does not look impressive. Inside the atmosphere is a traditional 90's Chinese restaurant that is well maintained. It has a family feel and regulars that go there to eat to catch up or bump into friends that they have not seen for while.
Food was great with a very big choice and you would not expect anything less from a Cantonese place. The speciality is the duck and it was good. The eggplant with salted egg is particularly good too. I have no doubt all the dishes in the menu is good else it would not have lasted this long. We had a table of 8 and we ordered a number of dishes all of which were good.
Service is exceptional and the team is super friendly and curtious.
If you're looking for that traditional Cantonese restaurant that is in between super formal and the take away joint then this is the place. All it is missing is the complimentary oranges at the end and light soup starter.
I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 20 yrs and the quality has dropped so much. My fried rice was burnt and had hardly any flavour or contents besides rice and the chicken was so soggy and again no flavour.
Pleasant experience. Love their mince meat with green beans and salt and pepper squid. These two dishes stand out tonight? Other dishes are delicious too. Staff are polite and friendly.
I’ve loved this place for 10 years since I first had it. The food is immaculate. The staff are fantastic and the atmosphere gorgeous. Eat in or take away, this place has never let me down and never an issue to be picky in my Order.
Told 20 mins to pickup, arrived at 25 mins, then waited 30 mins. Dont lie about pickup times. Just say its going to be 45 minutes. Very poor customer service. 3 customers weighting 159 mins, better things to do
We had the roast duck, fried hokkien noodles, honey chicken and spring rolls. Everything was delicious and the service was great!
Consistently very good over many years. Can't think of a bad meal we've had from here. Eat in and try the things on the alternative menu.
Have been going there for years and every time the food is amazing!
Best Chinese food in Adelaide!
I've been going to ginning for over 30 years and never had a problem until tonight. The lemon chicken was so tough and it had batter over cooked. We couldn't eat it. The Mongolian lamb was over spicey.
The Chow mien and the Beef fillet steak Cantonese never fails. The fried rice wasn't that great! A bit undercook!
Nice family owned traditional Chinese restaurant. Lots of history, been around for a long time and does a great job. They do lots of takeaway and people come from all over Adelaide for it. Restaurant experience is nice, friendly staff and authentic. Plenty of food options and decent wine list. Definitely recommended!
Always a pleasure ordering from this restaurant for eating in really good food at very reasonable prices
Best hot and sour soup in Adelaide, beef Mongolian and chicken and roast duck was sensational, great service and friendly staff also ice cold Coronas highly recommend this restaurant
As a group of friends we gave been attending Ginling for years. We have always found the food delicious and filling. We end up taking home our left overs. Staff are friendly and attentive and the restuarant is always filled with satisfied customers. Don't waste any time booking a night out.
