Gawler Palace Chinese Restaurant reviews
40Dined in. Food 3/5. Customer service 4/5. Atmosphere 3/5. Seems a popular restaurant in Gawler but can only give 3 stars.
We had a great meal at Gawler Palace the food was good, service was very good and it was quiet you could have a conversation and hear everything.
It was our first time ordering from Gawler Palace and we were both impressed with every aspect of the experience. When I walked in to the restaurant to pick up our food order, I immediately noticed the warm, friendly atmosphere in the restaurant.
And then, there's the food.absolutely delicious!
We had two satay chicken sticks and two vegetarian spring rolls for entree. For the main courses, we had the Combination Omelette and Steak with Black Bean, as well as a large serve of the Special Fried Rice.
We'll definitely be coming back!
We had a lovely dinner at Gawler Palace Chinese for my husband's birthday. We love going here. The food is always great. The service is wonderful and the staff are so lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend it.
Had dinner Sunday night. Service was very friendly & nothing was any trouble.was fantastic & very reasonably priced as were the drinks. Need to book Friday & Saturday nights. Also do takeaway
For its price point, the quality of food was ok. Definately fresh vege. The noodles and rice lacked seasoning/flavour. The portion sizes were generous. The dishes were well presented and the owner was delightful. The restaurant is huge! There were many diners and a number of take out dishes, so very popular in Gawler.
Good for groups, party of eight, have been at different times of the year and different days over the last five years and never disappointed. Food is great, prices are great and staff are always friendly and efficient. Even when it's busy, everything seems to run smoothly.
Always a lovely place to dine with family. We've been coming for 15years. From when our son used to cry for nuggets and we would feed him honey Chicken and just tell him it was nuggets to now him picking the items.
We miss the banquets, they were always our favourite point of difference. There was nothing like ordering the Chicken Soup, spring rolls, stay sticks, picking mains. The food was still great, we just miss the experience.
We left with Leftovers and the lovely host made sure my son had enough, she's always been so wonderful over the years.
See you again soon! Hopefully set banquets will make a return! - I'll keep an eye on my fb page.
Beef and black bean was more like veges and black bean with a hint of beef. Combination noodles was a combination of vegetables and noodles. Didn’t see any other meat other than 2 pieces of chicken. Special fried rice had no pork or chicken just tiny prawns. Very disappointing
Great place lovely staff the food was just amazingly fresh and taste was awesome. Definitely one stop to visit.
My family of 21 people celebrated my 80th birthday last night at the Gawler Palace Chinese Restaurant.
Everyone was super impressed with the food. It was delicious and serves are very generous.
The service is superb. Prompt. Courteous. Efficient. Friendly. Happy. Pleasant.
And there were no mistakes with any of our orders. How good is that?
Drinks are very reasonably priced and a good range of beers and wines.
I highly recommend this restaurant to you.
A couple of our guests are famous for being hard to please with their food but even they were happy and that says a lot.
I'm glad I chose to spend the night with my family at the Gawler Palace Chinese Restaurant.
Great staff very welcoming and helpful, satay chicken was a bit overcooked and the garlic prawns were in way too much liquid, otherwise not terrible and it was a short wait considering it was a Friday night and busy.
Best dim sims I have ever had
The service was second to none and the prices were great. Would highly recommend
Service was great but unfortunately food was a let down: (curry was watery and flavourless, noodles were dry and flavourless, chips seemed as though they were reheated from the day before and the vegetables were almost completely raw (I like crunchy veggies but big slabs of raw celery and cabbage isnt very enjoyable to eat. Unfortunately none of it was enjoyable and we wont be returning.
Kim ur the best.had dinner there tonight for my mothers 80th birthday, great service great food.good job to all the workers
This business has been going for years and I know why great food every time guaranteed I have been going there ocassionly for ten or more years of anyone were wanting to start a food business that is how you do it!
When I walked in, it was beautiful aroma of Jasmin rice, love it. Food was very tasty & quantity is great. Value for money. Definately will go back to eat some delicious food.
Great tasting food, Good service, Kim the owner is a lovely lady and always talks to us at some point during our meal.
Our favourite Chinese takeaway spot in gawler. Just quality, old school, Chinese food. All the favourites appear, and the food tastes great, quick service and super friendly staff.
Great little restaurant. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Food was delicious really enjoyed the seshwan beef. Free prawn crackers always seal the deal. Thank you Gawler palace will be returning in the future. Great addition to a town with very little take away options.
