Gawler Caravan Park reviews
58The newer villas are lovely.and were very clean, which is very important to me. The only downside is the location by an extremely busy main highway road, with road noise constant. Maybe a solid cement or brick fence instead of a tin one could camouflage the noise somewhat.
A very nice park close to everything you need.
Well presented and lovely and clean.
Thank you.
Credit to the staff.
Despite the 42 degree heat the air-conditioning was on when we arrived. Made welcome was close to amenities everything Cosi said there was. Bit noisie due to traffic but got use to it after a while. In all dam good value for money.
Very nice park, great facilities and close enough to centre to walk in. Couple of nice walks you can do from the park too. Would recommend.
Very clean and compact park. Variety of cabins. Best laundry I've seen. Toilets and showers A1. Grassed area to walk your pet. Camp kitchen and BBQs clean and well equipped. My only gripe, I asked for a grass site and was placed over blue metal.
Stunning Location
Buitiful nature
Old trees
Clean rooms
Room for tent
Good service
Beautiful Caravan Park good size gravel van sites, some with concrete pads. Amenities are modern and well maintained. Gawler is a large town and a few minutes drive from the Park Definitely worth a stay.
Just brilliant! Perfect location, cute-as, clean, well-appointed 1br villa. 10/10 would stay again!
Did visit at this stage. We plan to in the future. Friends say it's a good place to spend a few days.
Friendly greeting on arrival, works wonders, travelling with our Kelpie which was a worry but not a drama, Sally was as welcome as myself and wife.
Cabin was lovely and clean with no smell whatsoever from allowing dogs inside.
A realy nice park to stay with everything a traveller needs.
We can recommend this caravan park, easy access, good sized sites for caravans, excellent clean amenities with lovely staff.
THE BEST CARAVAN PARK IN SA.clean, affordable, great feeling as soon as I walked into my cabin. The gardens are well maintained. The staff are lovely. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. Just didn't like being random roadside tested by SA POLICE every day.
Gawler is a great little town I stumbled upon. The Gawler caravan park was a nice easy access, leafy park and clean amenities. No pool which would have been nice on this 41 degree heat day. Staff were all beautiful and I would have given them 5 stars BUT
I arrived with a chipped windscreen that cracked (the staff said with the heat it probably made it worse) Obriens didn’t have my replacement and couldn’t get for 10 days. The lovely lady at Apia spent ages ringing around and got a local guy with stock to agree to come do it as soon as possible?
I had informed the reception to see if I could stay on my site until he arrived (as the car park was unshaded and in the blistering heat and not nice for the windscreen guy to work in or me to wait and my young puppy to wait in) I said if all your guests arrive come tell me to move (but was concerned with moving the van with the full length crack) but the park was not busy. I said I would walk around and was more or less packed up but if he takes a while it would be nice to make a cup of tea and keep the electricity to my fridge.
They said not a problem but we will have to charge you a late fee if after 12. I understand it’s a business, been there done that, but as the toilets are locked between 10 & 12 I wasn’t using anything other than a little electricity and tree shade.
Sitting her waiting I feel it’s not the money but not giving someone a helping hand when they have had a bit of bad luck. This was already the most expensive site I had stayed at to date. The last one was $14 cheaper and said if I stayed after 10 that was fine …. So that is why I haven’t given 5 stars, no pool or help in a kind way.
Stayed a night in a cabin. Staff extremely friendly and helpful when we needed an unexpected late check in. Everything very clean and tidy and well maintained. Would definitely recommend staying in this park.
I just stayed 8 nights in my caravan (powered site), and I had a great time. And the staff were great.
I had family come over from WA and they stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cabins, and it looked really nice, but they said they got a bit of road noise because there cabins back right along side of the main road (it's not terrible but not great either), but they didn't seam too concerned about it
But I loved my stay, and it was great to catch up with family who I haven't seen since before covid.
Cheers
The managers are careful and caring about their customers and employees. Amenities are clean and well maintained as is the laundry with card or cash payments. Dog friendly and close to town and shopping. So come and see for yourself trust me the park and ammenities are fabulous.
Not a big caravan park but very well run and good amenities. Close walk into town for shopping or catch the train into Adelaide. Would definitely stay again.
We spent 4 nights in a cabin at this park. It is a lovely park, Peter and Tracey are very accommodating. We will definitely stay at this park again when we pass through Gawler next time. Thanks Peter and Tracey.
We stayed in our caravan for 10 weeks at Gawler Caravan Park. We absolutely loved it. So quiet, peaceful and beautifully maintained. A ten minute walk to Gawler Central shopping centre and so close to Murray Street for cafes, shops, pubs etc. Loved it and would stay again. 10/10
Stayed for one night. Extremely clean and well maintained park and amenities. And friendly, helpful staff.
