Gate 12 Onkaparinga River National Park reviews
7Truly a great hiking experience. A variety of easy to harder trails. So much to see and explore here! Just be wary of the wildlife
Great walk to spot butterflies.steep and uneven in places on the Echidna trail.
Very lovely place. This gate enables you quickly get to some of the more adventures hiking trails in the park. The car park here has enough room for around 4-5 vehicles at a time.
If you're looking to bike, take the trail on the right side. Continue to stick to the right all the way and follow the double track. Take a left at the first fork if you'd like to try the famous "Prickle Tunnel. " Make sure you wear long sleeves.
After the Prickle Trail there is a second fork that takes you to the lookout but it's currently blocked off as of 14/02/2021 due to a fallen tree.
Great biking all throughout this park.
Good long bush walk trails with beautiful views of deep gorgue, wild life, valleys, mountains and the serpentine trail of Onkaparinga river.
A number of great trails to explore. My regular hike is the Echidna Trail which is difficult (for an out of shape man like myself).
Entry to some great country and walks. The river can be accessed from here. Still relatively undeveloped compared to just down the road which is a good thing.
