Funk Coffee+Food reviews
16 I ordered x-large iced latte this morning and had to pour it down the sink. Was undrinkable. There was hardly no milk in my coffee and it was so bitter. I’d have to say this was the worst iced latte I’ve had.
What a waste of money.
Pretty store and friendly staff, the lady who served me with reddish long hair was helpful and had a chirpy attitude!
The coffee is ok, not amazing. I think there are better options very near by but if you're just looking for somewhere to meet for coffee it's got more space than it's neighbors.
Coffee was hot and service was quick and efficient. A large flat white and long black were$9.80. I was also given a bottle of water and glasses. Table service was great
Had a terrible experience in this place bought cramped chicken wrap the meal had rotten lettuce explained to the waiter and she asked me what's the problem replaced the meal with a cheap wrap with ended up having tummy upset the whole due to the poor meal.
Got the wrong coffee order. Mixed with my friends'. They should pay attention better?
The next day, one staff replied to this review and offered me to reimburse or get a free coffee. I chose to get a free coffee. This is a great customer service. Rarely the cafe would follow up with the feedback! Excellent!?
Friendly staff. Clean and spacious. Not noisy and need to shout to be heard or hear your table mates. Parking in the city is a minor problem, but plenty of short term spaces around.
Great coffee and service, some of the food seems a little expensive but is always good.you get what you pay for
Terrible. I won't buy the coffee here. Drinks are very overpriced. Recently bought a toasted sandwich which was dry and had hardly any filling between over toasted, thick cut bread. Cost $6 and I barely had half. Service slow as well. Never again.
Service was incredibly slow, the floor staff walked at a very slow pace, they had no urgency in their step considering it was lunch time and the area was about 70% full plus take aways. Considering it's in a business.building and people only have a 20-30 minute window for lunch, I was expecting something a lot quicker. Meal was a good portion for it's price
I left my laptop there and they found it and kept it safe until I returned to get it. They also do great wraps! Thanks guys
Popped in to this airy and bright cafe for a toast for lunch. Had the pulled pork focaccia, which was gorgeous. Topped it off with a fresh made Iced Coffee. Quick and friendly service as well
My coffee was reasonable and well priced. Plenty of other foods to choose from. The staff were friendly and the cafe very clean. The cafe is in the bottom of the SAWater building. It has a cool modern decor.
Thoroughly enjoyable, i'm that regular, I'm on first name basis for coffee alone. Whether it's banana bread, muffins, cheese and ham toastie/croissant. Really yet to be let down ultimately. In a span of 6.5 years have been amazed at level of customer service, and quality of food, that I highly recommend.
The food aside, and focussing just staff. They make you want to come back. They know their equipment, register, coffee machine, etc. They so well with each other that as a customer you feel valued because of the interaction.
Irony being if QC's cafe just over the road hadn't given me one of the worst customer experiences from a cafe 6 years ago I wouldn't have been such a regular here at Funk, fact. So happy to give funk my cash, they do a fantastic job. Get me through my day.
FUNKY!
With friendly staff and a wide range of foods and beverages it is the ideal place for a catch up when in or around Victoria Square.
Today I had the Parma Proscuitto Roasted vegetable salad. It was delicious. However what I wanted was 2 salads in the same box because I wanted to try the Roasted Beetroot salad as well. I was told they are "not allowed" to put 2 salads in the one box. I think the customer should get what they asked for not to be dictated by the staff/management on their food choices. I feel this is not the best customer service.
