A branding change has happened! Nothing different than is immediately obvious other than new uniforms and not calling the nursing home Fullarton Lutheran Homes that I can see at the moment.

The COVID lockdown restrictions have been lifted however it is compulsory that you perform a RA test prior to entry as there has been areas placed into lock down due to cases of COVID.

Visiting hours of 10am-3pm with no appointments necessary. The staff looking after my Grandmother do a great job. The on-site coffee shop is staffed by volunteers who are fabulous with the old & the young at heart. Coffee is rather awful but Nana like to drink tea anyway and sitting in the outdoor courtyard on a sunny day is a highlight for lots of families. Dogs are welcome visitors.

My father-in-law was well looked after.
When his condition deteriorated, they continuously informed us what was going on and provided us with clinical updates.
He was a skinny man with bony prominences, but he never had pressure sore or dry/cracking skin, because they were using moisturising cream, etc, appropriately. His room was filled with various types of creams. I was pretty impressed with that.
Despite My father-in-law's cantankerous character, staff were kind to him. He told us he was pretty happy there.
When he passed, they were compassionate and very helpful.
Thank you Fullarton Lutheran Homes, for looking after my father-in-law. My husband and I are very grateful.

My mother Rosamund Heritage is a resident at Fullarton Lutheran Homes. Her care lately has been haphazard to see the least.
Rosamund nearly choked from forced feeding by a carer who did not mash the stale cake properly with cream for a lady who cannot eat solid food. Disgraceful behavuior.

Edits are impossible as FLH do not want the truth to be known about their resident's care. Today mum was given a glass without a funnel by a staff member Uncaring disgraceful behavuior.

I called twice before the day and in the morning again. I told them I'm going to visit an friend.

Nobody told me visitors must bring a "Flu Certificate". I only knew this kind "Certificate" when I was stopped at the door.

I can't understand it's hot summer, not cold winter. Why in summer visitors have to visit their GP to have a flu injection before visit a friend?

Always happy to visit there - clean and staff are friendly. Car parking can sometimes become a issue, depending on what time you arrive.

My stepfather is a resident of the Beltana Dementia Unit, and the lack of qualified staff with experience in dealing with dementia patients; the lack of activities for residents; the lack of staff generally and particularly on weekends; the lack of cleaning staff on weekends; the inability of the staff to give him back his own labeled clothes from the laundry - all of these things are causing my poor mother to leave him absolutely devastated after each visit, and feeling like she is abandoning him.

My mother has a background in aged care, and understands the system, and has complained fairly regularly. Each time she complains, the staff promise to fix whatever issue she has raised, and generally they do, but they don't seem to understand that EVERYONE should be getting their own clothes, everyone needs to be checked on regularly, everyone needs a level of care that is just not being provided. You would think, with the Royal Commission still going on, that aged care facilities would have smartened up their acts a bit, but it appears that even for a Lutheran facility, profit is still more important that care of the residents.

I was still employed and they began advertising for another Chef. They did not approach me about my work and how it was not suitable. When I asked about the advertisement. The manager wished to see me, they fired me on the spot. That’s pretty rude and I found that with some of the staff there. Very high expectations for a nursing home. Do not recommend Fullarton Lutheran homes. Better jobs out there.

Caring and compassionate staff, professional service, people that are prepared to take the time to listen and try to understand no matter what the circumstances.
