Fresh Bites reviews
21 The restaurant is spacious & clean, and the staff is friendly. However, it was a normal experience in terms of deliciousness. The chicken rice was quite rich in MSG and green onions were moss green instead of bright green. The rice is a little wetter than necessary. You can increase the price a bit (later) but should pay more attention to the quality of the food (now). Find a way to make it taste better because many customers eat the same dish at different restaurants and they will compare. Anyway, thank you for keeping me full for a cold winter lunch.
Will be back! ^^
Could have been a bad day but the pork wasn't crispy, instead very fatty and cold. There also wasn't much meat in the roll. The roll didn't seem fresh as it was chewy. Overall very average for the price.
Although it is delicious, seven dollars for a serve of chicken that ends up being about four pieces and a few small crispy bits is pretty disappointing. The amount served seems to vary wildly depending on who is serving. When asked, staff informed me that it is the standard serve. If this is the case I think I'll go elsewhere.
My go to lunch eatery in the city. The food is tasty, made to order, and good value. The owner and staff are always courteous.
It's quite busy at lunchtime though but the line still moves decently. Tasty range of food.
Edit: 3 stars after they increased the price then started individually counting the pieces.value gone
Already top price for a roll, then they skimp on the fillings too. Not good value for money. Edit: this is all the time. Including today as well as I thought I'd give it a second chance.
Food's ok, nothing to die for.
Service is appalling, poor English and very slow.
Took me 17 minutes to get a rice bowl
Normally good, but today the girl taking my order didn't listen when i said no condiments and they continued to put nuts and shallots on my salad. They were very rude after i pointed out that i said no.
I usually order the tofu salad bowl, however the amount of tofu allocated is so low it ends up being just a bowl of leaves. I have regularly made the same order to see if it gets better but the tofu portion sizes seem to be getting worse. I have since started buying my salad bowl elsewhere which is a shame.
Great value for Korean fried chicken. It's quite busy at lunchtime though but the line still moves decently.
Coriander is premixed into the noodle bowls. If you hate this satanic herb - beware. Delicious though.
They sell bowls with salad & noodles or salad and rice then add chicken on the top.
So far it was ok to buy just salad bowl with chicken (without noodles or rice)
I would still pay full price.
However today I walked in to order my salad & chicken but have been told that boss isn't allowing it any more. What a disappointment
Can't work out why can't you buy what you like if still paying full price.
Well wont be going there any more.
Gone down hill. Scabby with the roast pork (on the off-chance that they haven't ran out). It's like they count how many pieces they put in. Infuriating to watch and even worse to eat. Disappointing.
Love ducking into fresh bites for a noodle salad with crispy pork. Most of the time the staff are generous in allocating the pork, but sometimes they can be a little bit stingy.
Great food, good prices. The majority of the staff are quite friendly although most of the girls are not. No smiling no friendliness. If you can see past this all Great!
Not your traditional flavours, nor are the new flavours nice. Always a disappointment when it comes to flavour, price and service.
Food tasted good (I do not care about 'authentic flavor' as long as the flavor is good). The price is lower than the average compared with food courts on Rundle Mall. Tidy and neat environment.
This is perhaps my most frequented lunchtime shop! Good value, excellent food and the staff are all friendly and helpful. They're fast and efficient. I recommend their Vietnamese rolls and especially their dumplings!
Cold rolls, rice bowls and noodle salads are great. They have a great variety of salad dressings. Try the salads with Lemon grass chicken and grilled chicken, they are very tasty. Cheap and good food, four cold rolls for $10.
