Fresh+ - Queen Elizabeth Hospital reviews
15 Clientele are mostly medical staff, patients and their unfortunate visitors. Food options are limited for those with food intolerances, which seems strange (?)
Those 'in the know' don't eat the food, but rather sip coffee, with the odd victim of Fresh+ and their horrifically overpriced food dotted about the place like wounded wildebeest at a watering hole. Whispers can be heard as people walk away from the register after being savagely fleeced by a pushy, fast talking, staff member that would be better suited to an infomercial where you get a "free" dehydrator and screwdriver set.
$28 for 3 chicken cold rolls and 3 slices of corned beef on rice - no screwdriver set!
Overpriced and underwhelming. Disingenuous replies to poor reviews in here appear meaningless.
Not recommended
Very unhappy here. They are the most stingy with their meat I have ever seen!
I ordered here the other day, the chipotle chicken schnitzel sandwhich. It was good just too stingy on all of the ingredients, there was more bread and sauce than everything else combined!
Secondly I am really infuriated that I had to pay $6.57 for a balfours pie…… what a ripoff this place is. It is so overpriced for such average quality.
Definitely DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE.
While I was dining in the other day I also heard a man complaining as the prices had gone up. I saw what he was upset about and I would be too! The small coffee size (literally only the portion size for a chihuahua) is the cost of $5.50. At a servo that could get you a medium which would be 5x the size. This small was really laughable at how SMALL it was.
I made the mistake giving this place another chance after receiving zero customer service from some of the staff a week ago. Coming back from leave I was warned that Management had changed along with the staff
The food is average and the service is appalling
Terrible Terrible Terrible service
I won't be back with miserable staff that have no experience in dealing with paying customers
We will make that extra walk down the road to receive a more professional customer service experience
I gave a 5 star 7 years ago, to which up until the past 3 months, wouldn’t given the same, however the new staff and management are far from level of hospitality, to what the old staff where, sad to see a good thing tarnished.
I am appalled at the “service” my friend and I received today. The 2 ladies behind the counter. One lady with black rimmed glasses and another very rude lady. Sandra and Vicky. These 2 ladies treated my friend and I like we were not even human. They were talking rudely, giving sarcastic comments, making rude remarks about myself, my friend and other customers. I highly recommend you get rid of these so called humans that are in your place of work. My best friend has stage 3 cancer and has started her first round of chemo, to be treated like that today was shocking to say the least. We were talking to a few other people in chemo and apparently these ladies have been doing this in the past I would hope and pray that no one has a bad day at the hospital and comes across these rude, disrespectful, nasty, impolite humans that are at your cafe. I have attached my monstrous food anyway, the lack of care for the food was horrendous. This cost me $13.90. I asked it to be heated up, with great efforts I was eventually granted mine to be heated up. My chicken was stone cold. We felt like a inconvenience. We did not return as we were highly embarrassed to be there. It is unfortunate that my friend and I will be the hospital doing a few months of treatment. We will not be returning there. I will be telling my friends and so will my friend on her cancer Adelaide groups to make sure they avoid this place.
Family member gets there at 4pm and asks for some hot chips only to be told they've stopped making them for the day. According to the opening times, you're open for another 2hours. I finally can see why the ratings aren't too good.
Service was average on my first visit but my other 2 time this one lovely lady very helpful great customer service from her I wish I got her name she also wished me safe travels home at 11.10am on the 12/11/2022 as I brought doughnuts n a lovely blueberry muffin.so please pass on my thanks on to her kind regards
Three stars only because I really do enjoy the coffee and chai lattes made here.
Unfortunately the portion of food could be better especially with the high prices.
Also I bought chicken and rice the other day for 12.95 and then today the exact same dish+size was 13.95?
Not impressed with the way they serve the food too.
Old Lady with cap is always rude make up her own prices extremely rude overcharge, keep changing prices day by day, intrups other cashiers while making coffee to refuse to make your order's. Taking advantage of people as no options nearby especially poor patients families, racist and mean behaviour l have seen with non Australian also but for how long l believe in karma. Also no wonder why they have 1.9 star.such a shame for ripping off people who are already stressed in hospital.shame
Terrible food and overpriced. Slow service. Such a waste of time and money to go there.
Miss the old owner - Lizzy cafe
Selection of gluten free is minimal. The elder woman who served me was rude and I was not impressed when she threw my $6 gluten free banana bread down on the counter. The banana bread is made elsewhere and packaged in a plastic bag so I guess that's why she thought it was okay to throw it on the counter?
Despite promising we can “Skip the queue” with their ordering app - they can’t get the orders done on time.
If it’s busy let us know! We use the app so we don’t have to stand around waiting.
If it’s busy tell us the coffee will be ready in 20 or 30 minutes - not 5 minutes and have 30 people standing close together waiting to catch Covid!
Ordered a hotdog on skip - didn't come with any of the toppings skip says it does, and there were several visible areas of mould on the bun.
I went on Sunday 1/8 after my partner had been admitted in the Ed (covid so I could go with him). I came into the cafe and the girls on were so warm and welcoming, very pleasant experience. The food was also good!
Vending machine prices are cheaper. Taking advantage of patients that want something the hospital doesn't supply.
