Freeman Lookout reviews
19Absolutly stunning! Freeman lookout is a must-see attraction in Port Elliot. There is so many little spots to take photos, seats to rest, trails to walk and public toilets. One of the sights of South Australia!
I just love little spots like this. A surprising good carpark area, a little walk and a good viewing area. If I was into dogs I would say it's perfect.
Beautiful spot to stop and enjoy the view of our wonderful South Australian waters edges and coastlines.
Beautiful place that's on our doorstep love being here what ever the weather the ocean just takes you to a whole new place in life.
Nice lookout over rocks and ocean. Some walking paths around it to explore. Picnic area nearby. Lovely view over a horseshoe shaped bay with a popular Sandy beach and a swimming pontoon
One of the best spots in Port Elliot to view the coast and surrounds, very good parking, close to town centre.
Spectacular 360° views of the natural beauty of the South Coast here, along with Historical Shipwreck information. Never disappoints
This is a must visit location, either easily accessible by car or a lovely hike up from the Horseshoe Bay below. A stunning nearly 360° view stretching from Victor's Harbor right around to the Coorong.
Do yourself a favour and head up there just before sunrise. You will hear and see flocks of birds traveling from the nearby Pullen Island over the lookout towards Victor Harbor.
This is one of the most beautiful places in SA. Perfect open ocean views, whales and seals watching. Turquoise colours in the morning and red sunsets in the evening. Perfect for a quick stroll or long walk along the coast
This is one of my favourite places to come to on any day, especially when the weather is perfect. Really great scenary of the beach whether you are excerising, walking your dog or just going for a walk. It is hard to capture the view in a picture as it is much more beautiful and serene. If you are down Port Elliott, come down here for a walk and just obsorb the beauty of South Australian beaches.
Beautiful views of Horseshoe Bay and down to Knights beach, wonderful walking trails along the coast.
Spent time with my brother here. It is so beautiful with the waves rolling in, crashing into the rocks, and spraying up into the air. It takes away some of the stresses of life.
Such beautiful views of the coast and sometimes you can see the seals lolling around not far from the shore
Freemans Lookout is reached by 'The Strand' at Pt Elliott. This lookout overlooks the coast of Horseshoe Bay and beyond to Goolwa to the east and towards the west is Victor Harbour and 'The Bluff'. This prometory is of granite as is Pullen Is + Seal Rock. A pyramid lookout guided the sailing ships into Horseshoe Bay. There is plenty of history in the buildings to explore in Pt Elliott and the very popular bakery (1860) opposite the pub on the main street. Well sign posted.
Excellent lookout that has panoramic views over horseshoe Bay on one side and views that head to victor harbor on the other. Walking trails through the area and a " free" telescope to observe the bird life on the islands. There is also a shipwreck chart pictured that gives a historical insight to the area. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful lookout, you can see from Victor to Kingston SE, amazing scenery, however not many parks.
A must do if visiting Pt Elliott, uninterrupted views of a wonderful coasline, interesting shipping history and map of wrecks
What a lovely lookout over the ocean and looking back over the bays. Scenery is beautiful especially in September and October when it starts warming up.
