Previously purchased a Maddox 3 seat sofa and was happy with the experience at the time.
However, we were looking at buying the Maddox sofa bed to match our other sofa. I rang the store and said I was looking at purchasing the sofa and online was saying delivery of the couch would be 3 months. The gentleman on the phone confirmed that there was a 3month wait for the couch. I asked him if we would be able to pay a deposit for it being such a long wait time. He said that it was possible.
That afternoon I drove from gawler to freedom Glynde and told the lady we wanted to buy the Maddox sofa bed and that I had rang this morning about if and was told that I could place a deposit. She told me that deposits can only be paid for items with atleast a six month wait. Being that this is during covid and we all know that deliveries are delayed, I was quite shocked by this.
After waiting 2months now for the sofa, we have just received an email saying the sofa is delayed over a month (what a shock).
We also have a store credit for spending over $1000 but have been told we won't receive that until delivery of the sofa.
After looking at other reviews I've seen that other people were told 3months for products and some have waited over a year.

Delivery mishaps can occur, especially with a pandemic, it is how they are dealt with that determines the quality of the business. Freedom Glynde manager Kym and her staff were outstanding going above and beyond to get the items delivered. So appreciated. With the helpful advice, quality products and reasonable prices it was a pleasure to deal there.

Beware of Misleading sales tactics by Freedom at Glynde.

Currently they have a 25% off dinner and serveware.

We spent a considerable time choosing 5 items, one of witch had the priced marked out in black. By my calculations it would have cost less than quoted so i asked for a check.

I could see through the price marked out. It was $9.95. I was informed that prices change and they cross it out when the prices go up. The sales person implied that when i shop elsewhere, i should expect prices to go up when they are crossed out. (Cue my confused expression). So how do i know the price goes up? They said it would be listed on the shelf. It wasn’t.

So none of our items chosen were on sale. How would i know which ones are? The answer- id be expected to bring every item to the counter to be scanned.

I was assertive and annoyed in my approach. I refrained from personal attacks and foul language and i excused the sales people from what appears to be a company led initiative.

Staff are exceptional at this store. Such a refreshing experience to be helped in a friendly way. Thank you for assisting me to complete the furnishing of my kids rooms. A few elements I was not sure about (returns of these were easy and hassle free) but most items worked perfectly. Bright hello and goodbyes. A pleasure to shop there. I’ll be back

Not giving this actual store 1 star but the entire company. Absolute appalled by their customer service and lack of communication. I understand the impact COVID has had on many industries and stores. However a simply common curiosity and update would've been appericated, instead of me having to chase up numerous times (3/4 weeks) to find out what was happening with an order I have purchased. I am now expected to recieve my order 6months later from purchase date, instead of the 8-10weeks. What a joke. What's incredibly more upsetting is to have been told different excuses as to the delay, instead of just being honest to begin with.

I now found about logistics problems with the company but the staff are self righteous patronising morons. They were almost suggesting it was my fault. I was simply stating what had happened, but instead they argued with me.
2 weeks ago I was informed the stock was coming in and delivery driver would call. Never did and the stock wasnt even on order, said there was no phone number and not there fault easy mistake that they could not have seen on the computer.etc.

Staff are friendly and helpful.but not too thrilled with the after sales service.

It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't had my warranty claim addressed! (lose a star for every week i have to wait)

1 STAR for the corporate Freedom who dont return emails or phone calls
Bit of a wait time for our bed which was expected over Xmas and NY

Avoid shopping at Freedom Furniture until they resolve their delivery issues. It has gotten so bad that it is now in the newspaper. If you're brave or patient enough to wait many weeks longer make sure you ask their sales people - who conveniently omit this fact.

Read all the disgruntled reviews before purchasing. They are suffering from a logistics issue at the moment and unable to guarantee timely delivery. Many people have had to wait months extra- my order, which they took money up front for is now unreasonably late.

Freedom furniture is currently taking customer money and failing to advise they are suffering from massive logistical issues. Look at their Facebook page and online reviews - they’re taking money up front and not delivering - often MONTHS late.

We selected three items from there showroom but were informed none of them we in stock and were told they would be there in a week.a month later they arrived.

The Wine rack was broken - I went to the store who informed me to call Customer Service.

Customer Service promised to get back to me in 48 hours. Two weeks later we are still trying to get the item replaced. I have now been on hold with their customer service department for 10 minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone which has given me time to complete this review.

Would suggest only shopping here if you are either:
- Buying an item directly off the floor (note they have almost no stock in South Australia)
- Desperate
- Enjoy being on hold for long periods of time with an underfunded and badly managed customer service department.

So as an update the story gets better!

I was promised a replacement item within 30 days. 35 days later no item and no one has bothered to call me or tell me what's going on. This is seriously pathetic inept customer service. Not to mention it has been months since we initially ordered and paid for everything in July and no discount, no apology, no follow up on the broken items. Really couldn't expect less

Another update - still haven't got the replacement item.six years later!

Freedom is horrible in general. Ordered furniture with a promise date of 9 weeks from the beginning of May. We have now been told that it will be October. Made us pay the full amount upon purchasing and refuses to allow us to cancel as they claim it was always going to be October. Will never shop here again. Anne is also a extremely rude.

They have some of the most beautiful furniture in Adelaide but they are ridiculously expensive! Go to Ikea rather.

Range is much more limited this year. Have some good sales but as others have said, a lot of stuff is also overpriced for the quality you get.

Great service, but hopeless lead times! We were wonderfully helped by a friendly efficient sales person, and all keen for our new purchase. Only after quoting did we find out that there is a 12 week lead time. 12 weeks. For a standard, only comes in one colour, item! You have to be joking. Tell us up front, don't get us excited, if that is the case!
