Frances Hotel Motel reviews
11 Its late night driving, we were running out of gas and the car radiator had a leak. Luckily we remember the Frances Hotel was a few km behind us. So we drove back and asked for a room to stay. To our surprise the bar and pool table was still busy, and we met motel owner Sharon and Din and asked for help.
They were extremely helpful and hospitable. We got delicious hamburger, ice cold draft beer, a clean and confortable room for the night all at very reasonable price.
Next morning we had a sumptuous breakfast at the dinning room. Din helped us on a quick fix to stop the radiator leak, provided us with a 20L water tank for cooling water refill in case needed, and dosed the gas tank with sufficient fuel to the nearest station.
Thanks for Sharon and Din's kind help we managed our way back to Melbourne. Frances Hotel is certainly the place to spend the night if you are near the area.
Great pub, all the patrons are chilled and the new owners are clean, can cook beautifully and serve promptly with a smile, their motel is comfy too, I had coco pops for breaky bit of a treat haha! Go see for yourself
It's a great pub with motel accommodation, great food, cold beer. Always visit when in the area, camping at the football oval.
Had a fab birthday luncheon there. Excellent service, clean & friendly. Great pub fair.
Awesome old school country pub, with a great barmaid. Friendly locals who made me feel welcome. Well worth a visit & a stay. 10/10
Top Pub, friendly host, great Pizas, cold beer. This is the perfect example of what a country pub should look like. Was made to feel at home.
Rack of lamb was to die for. You did need to request veggies to go with this. Unfortunately my veggies were a little on the cool side! Otherwise my meal was gorgeous.
Great hospitality, good accommodation, well above expectations for a hotel in such a small town so far from anywhere.
Stopped over for a quick bite (takeaway) while travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne. The calamari and chips is nice and fresh. Fish and chips also good but too late to take a photo. Both came with fresh salad. Highly recommended.
Loved the food, atmosphere and hospitality. Down to earth and great accommodation.
