Very lucky to have come across Dr Dan after breaking my radius joint in multiple places. It's very easy to take it for granted but, without his knowledge and skills, I doubt I would have two working wrists today.

I cannot recommend Dr Dan enough for Shoulder Replacement Surgery. He is a caring surgeon that has the patient’s welfare at heart. I had heard many horror stories about shoulder surgery and the recovery period although thanks to Dr Dan this proved to be unfounded. His directions for recovery including those to Physiotherapists are clearly set out in writing. Even though I am now going to be living interstate I would not hesitate to return to Dr Dan should my other shoulder need surgery. Thank you Dr Dan

Dr Dan and his team offered such a warm and responsive atmosphere, in what was a really difficult time. The assuredness with which he diagnosed, explained and performed the surgery, really helped to put me and my family at ease. His after care post op was also exemplary, really going above and beyond, making sure recovery was high on his priority list. Shoulder surgery done right!

I had a shoulder injury and I visited many orthopaedic specialists till I met Mr Dan. The services that I receive from him is excellent. Dr Dan was friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. I would have no qualms in recommending them to friendly and friends.

Dr Dan is a wonderful Dr and surgeon. Talks at a patients level. As an 11 year old breaking your arm is scary. But Dr Dan made it less scary and really took the time to listen to me about my pain and recovery options as a competitive swimmer missing 6 weeks is a long time but Dr Dan was able to explain to me in terms I could understand the need to rest and let the bone heal properly. He also is just a nice friendly person. Our family have all seen him (except my brother) for our shoulder/arm/thumb problems and can’t recommend him or his staff enough. It also helped that I won the Easter Egg jar with the correct guess so thank you Dr Dan

Dr Dan is excellent cannot speak more highly of his skills as a surgeon and aftercare. Had bicep tendon repair and pretty well back to normal. Having said that physiotherapy to increase the range of movement and strengthing is important!

After years off pain and discomfort in my shoulder I was referred to Dr. Dan. I was not sure if I wanted to have surgery but after meeting and talking with Dr. Dan I am now booked in for surgery in March. He explained everything to me and put my mind at rest about the procedure and everything post surgery. I found Dr Dan and Kim his receptionist very friendly and tells you everything you need to know

My husband meet Dr Sommit Dan at a lunch and told him about a bicep rupture that he just had.
Dr Dan was able to give him some advice which gave him confidence on what he should do, which at that time he was a bit unsure about.
He then made the appointment to see Dr Dan, who walked him through the operation process and what might be the rehabilitation time frame.
My husband now is 7 weeks post the operation and is almost completely back to normal, mountain bike riding, exercising and all the things he normally dose.

I've had incredible shoulder problems for over 10 years. No sleep, constant pain and severely restricted movement. I've seen other professionals that specialise in shoulder injuries but none were able to come anywhere near the excellent treatment I received from Dr Sommit Dan.
It's taken nearly a full year since the operation, which Dr Dan said it would, but my shoulder feels better than ever.
His diagnosis, treatment and recovery plan were spot on and, even though I jumped a few weeks ahead through being such an impatient person, the outcome has been incredibly successful.
I sleep better than ever and I was back to full duties at work, which are physically taxing, much quicker than I hoped for.

Dr Sommit Dan was amazing! Highly recommend him. He was very aware that I’m an active person and was going to try push the boundaries. He was professional and explained the procedure and the outcome we were aiming for and listens (he even kept some of my metal from my elbow which I asked for as I was going out to it with the anaesthetic). His whole team were fantastic including Physio Kelsey who not only gets results but is very friendly and funny which is just what I needed.
If you’ve had a mountain bike riding accident I recommend Dr Dan. My elbow was broken in 2 spots. I can now straighten my arm and am working on lifting heavier weights. Below before and after…I can hit a tennis ball gently if I support my elbow with my other hand which is huge progress. Thanks Dr Dan and team

4 months ago I walked into Dr Dan's office with a banged up right shoulder, Dr Dan took control immediately. Sent off for scans finding a 4cm full thickness tear plus a previous tear that had returned.
4 months on I thought wow, I'm back training pressing 25kg dumbells and every day stronger. Yes I was very sceptical about reading other peoples reviews on surgeons.

Dr Sommit Dan is an outstanding surgeon who is very thorough in his work, explaining the procedure in detail so you understand his work and makes you feel comfortable when you go for your operation. Dr Dan is an exceptional, delightful person to talk to and answers all your questions. He shows compassion and care for his patients, that goes above and beyond his professional duties. Dr Dan's team are also very friendly and helpful. The recovery for me was very speedy with no pain. I was able to use my hand on household chores within 10 days. Dr Dan has performed 2 shoulder joint replacements for our Mother who is almost 91 years old. The first replacement was in 2020 and the second 2021 and our Mum could not be happier. Her quality of life has been greatly improved and we are all extremely grateful to Dr Dan and his team.
