My first time here for tonsillectomy with Prof Simon Carney and I'm super impressed. The care here has been fantastic from the start- nurses can't do enough for you and are so kind. Comfy, spacious private rooms with lots of natural light and food is yummy. I've had lots of ice lollies and jelly inbetween meals so that has also been so helpful. Thank you so much!

Meals.main meals were inedible. Also 2 out of 3 meals were asian based. Thought spicy food was not a standard for hospital meals. No private room either

Rate Change/Edit: : Originally 1 star, a friend was put in healthcare there and had a completely different experience to mine. Glad to see my friend fine and that what I *assumed* to be the general normal, was really not.

Excellent care, room and food, nurses are wonderful. I was admitted 2 months ago for 3 or 4 nights but ended up being there for 2 weeks and going in again next week for further surgery. Highly recommend, cannot fault.

Was an in patient and an out patient during my breast cancer and the staff were compassionate, kind and empathetic towards myself and my husband every time.

After knee replacement first night no bell, no nurse no help with toilet so it was long wet night. After countless complaints the bell was found to be disconnected 2 days later. Unforgivable after major surgery to be left unattended. 2 nurses were very good the rest appeared not to speak English.does not compare with St. Andrews.

Avoid.admitted for right sided abdominal pain radiation to back and unable to eat. Transferred to FPH doctors were rude condescending and denied pain relief. Told they ran out of time to have prescription signed so had to go without pain relief overnight. Discharge letter was not completed in full and had wrong admit reason listed. Asked Dr for her name and was told kirsten from hep bil surgical team. Would not give any other details. Told my issue was not surgical. Have already been reassessed and determined my gall bladder needs to be removed. FPH should be ashamed of yourselves and FMC. Disgusting treatment of a patient absolutely inexcusable. Surgery to be done at ashford with a reputable surgeon.

A review of Dr Jane Wood for gynaecology. Have been having life altering issues with PMDD, severe symptoms and horrific depression. After a conversation with Dr Wood, I was basically told that my issue is lifelong and I would just have to learn to "deal with it. " Absolutely no critical thinking into causation, no suggestion of hormonal or cortisol analysis, no incentive to look further into how these hormonal issues are being caused. Don't waste your money, they will look no further than the surface level. Disappointed.

Left soiled bedpan on bathroom sink for 3 days) :
No hot water at night.
Do not read one’s admission form to ascertain what medications are being taken prior to admission.
Alcoholic staff members who clock on at 7: 00am still drunk with the permanently pickled offensive odour preceding them into one’s room.
Cruel nurse who makes childish threats
In a nutshell, Patronising, Disorganised, Chaotic and Unhygienic. If you care about your health, keep well away!

BEST HOSPITAL FOOD I’ve ever eaten in my whole life, highly recommend. Nice private rooms and views, quality beds and bedding. Night staff friendly and made me feel safe. First time I’ve ever raved about a hospital like that. The Doctor who was a sweet kind man in my post op after care was from FMC as FMC rents Flinders private hospital beds.

The star goes only to the nurses that they do the best they can. About the doctors completely cosmetic they never have an answer to a problem what a waste.

My stay at Flinders Private Hospital was the worst experience of ‘medical care’ that I’ve had in my entire life (which is pretty long now:)
The staff left a soiled bedpan on a small bathroom sink in my room for 3 days) : This was the same sink where I was supposed to clean my teeth, and the only sink in my room.
The facility does not provide hot water (from the taps!) at night.
The medical and nursing staff do not read one’s admission form to ascertain what medications are being taken prior to the patient’s admission. They then have the shocking gall to insinuate one has been dishonest about one’s regular medications!
Alcoholic staff members who clock on at 7: 00am still drunk with the permanently pickled offensive odour preceding them into one’s room.
They employ an outstandingly cruel nurse who makes childish threats and has the emotional maturity of an adolescent despite being well into middle age.
In a nutshell, Patronising, Disorganised, Chaotic and Unhygienic. If you care about your health, keep well away!
With all that said, there are exceptions, with some of the nurses being kind, empathetic and caring people and these people ought to be recognised and promoted!

Considering staff shortages and the strain on the health sector at this time I was very happy with the care given to me by Dr Anthony Samson’s team. The kitchen fed me hearty meals despite my many food allergies and I am truly grateful for that. The ward was clean and organised. Thankyou everyone.

Stay a FPH was a very positive experience. All Staff including nurses, hospitality, and cleaning were great. I enjoyed my meals and even the coffee.
My room was comfortable, roomy and clean the ward was very quiet especially at night. I could see nurses were busy but all my needs met extremely well.

Unhelpful and unprofessional. Staff very noisy and felt like sitting in a bar, could not hear who I was speaking to. They lost my prescription and was poorly advised by the doctor. Been to 4 hospitals in Australia and this is by far the worst. Do not recommend.

Doctors and all staff can't be faulted. Fantastic. My only complaint is having gold standard cover and I don't get a private room. This sends my anxiety through the roof. After last hospital stay was in the great Calvary in a great room.
