Fleurieu Cherries reviews
47 Xmas 2023:
Extremely slim pickings this year due to the significant rain damage. The family struggled to pick a quarter of a bucket (in total) of unblemished cherries in the hour visit. In hindsight probably not worth the visit this year.
While the weather is outside the owners control, the less than frank assessment of the orchard state drops a star this year.
The highlight was the Cherry ice cream. I left wanting more. I'd probably buy a tub if offered.
Xmas 2021:
Great family outing. Premium Cherries. Was very hard to find a bad one on the tree. Service is friendly.
Yummy cherries to pick and eat. Friendly staff to guide on how to pick cherries without damaging crops.
Also, we can eat cherry ice cream and buy locally produced wines.
Family friendly atmosphere.
We had our wedding at Fleurieu Cherries on the 15/10/2022. The venue was absolutely incredible. Brett and his family made the entire process as seamless as possible. He was super organized, responded to emails so quickly, his communication was incredible, and his ideas were amazing. Organizing a wedding can be very daunting, but with the help of Brett, it went so smoothly. I cannot recommend this place enough. Brett and his family are such wonderful people, and the venue was out of this world. If you are looking for a venue, do not look any further than here. It was a night we will remember forever. Thank you so much for everything you did for us. You made our day the best it could ever be. The Cherry Moscato was such a big hit with everyone! Even people who don't drink often, absolutely loved it. The cherry jam we purchased for the bonbonnieres was so delicious. The cherry ice cream was such a hit and was so refreshing. Being allowed to take pictures in the cherry orchard, amongst the cherry trees, felt so magical. THANK YOU for everything Brett.
Visited with my sister. She introduced me to her favourite trear. Cherry icecream. Give it a go. You will be surprised
Amazing Cherries, though you'll need to book well ahead if you want to go picking.
The Icecream is a good addition especially on hot days.
Would avoid the coffee. I think the machine was malfunctioning as the coffee was incredibly burnt.
Great location but cherries are well overpriced this year 2022. $30 per kilo is a joke. Compare to Adelaide hills cherries it is a shame that fleurieu cherries don't even come close. There are more than 10 orchards in Adelaide hills (pick your own and shed sales) - ALL are much much cheaper than fleurieu cherries.
My husband and I got married at Fleurieu Cherries in April this year and it was honestly the most perfect venue for us. We had both our ceremony and reception here and could not be happier with how our special day turned out.
Brett, his family and the staff are all such lovely people and were willing to accomodate any request we had. In particular, Brett went above and beyond and I cannot thank him enough. He was quick to respond to all of my emails and message, he always had a solution to any problem that arose and he made sure our guests were comfortable and enjoyed their night.
The beauty of Fleurieu Cherries as a venue is that you get to design your perfect wedding, yet at the same time you have the support of an amazing team. I honestly couldn’t fault them. A beautiful venue, beautiful staff and a beautiful atmosphere
Shame we got there a bit late to pick as many cherries as we wanted but amazed at the size and sweetness of the cherries that we did find! Nice little area to have a picnic. Didnt do any wine tastings but loved the ambience of the place. Cherry ice-creams were perfect for a warm day
Rang up about 9am told them that we coming thought about lunch time got there they had sold out was not happy
The most delicious cherries we ever had. Very friendly staff. Farm shop sells many cherry related food like ice cream and cherry vinegar.
Best ice-cream you can taste. Collect cherry but check first if they are open for collection because I went in the wrong timing and there was nothing left. Must go again
My brother recently got married at Fleurieu Cherries, the venue was stunning, the day was a success but only thanks to the staff (Brett, Linda, Trevor and co) going above and beyond to help us out a tight situation when the caterer pulled out during the ceremony. They organised all the food for the 100+ guests, saved the day and did it all with a smile. Fleurieu Cherries is a family run business and they certainly treated us like family. I recommend them to anyone looking for a venue for any occasion. Thank you guys so much for everything.
Very popular spot with friendly staff and service. Cherry icecream and cherry liqueur are a must.
Great family outing. Premium Cherries. Was very hard to find a bad one on the tree. Service is friendly.
The cherries are ever so sweet. Entry for picking $6.
The fresh cherry vanilla icecream is to die for. They need to have tubs of this for sale.
Highly recommended
Juicy and delicious cherries, still plenty to be picked after christmas. Lucky to be there on a cool day, nice and welcoming staff and cosy hang out areas at the back. One the best cherries we've tasted.t
The cherry ice cream is a must try too!
Service was average. Cherries tasted great but a few with bad patches in the tub considering they were the full price ones. Would like to go back and try the pick your own
Cherries are delish and there are two types large and extra large. Both a treat to eat. Ice cream is a must try
This is one of the most wonderful tourist experiences I have ever had in or around Adelaide. First the staff teach you how to pick cherries correctly (yes, there's a way!) and after that you are free to wander their orchard. They provide the containers and you pay according to the weight of your harvest. The experience is enhanced by super-friendly local staff; delicious homemade cherry icecream; and some of the most beautiful views around. It is only open for about 50 (?) days a year in summertime so after reading this review you may have to wait for nearly a year to get there, but it's worth it!
Beautiful location, lovely staff, deliciously juicy cherries and of course yummy cherry ice cream. Thanks for having us Fleurieu Cherries!
