FLAVA Food and Coffee

This place was great under old owners and thought we’d give new owners a try for Friday night dinner. Main meals and cocktails were reasonably priced and of good quality. Unfortunately, me and another person decided to try the share platter for 2. When paying nearly $70 for a platter, you expect to be wowed. Unfortunately, this was not the case. To be honest, I would have still thought it was overpriced at $45. Despite rather dry dolmades and Cajun chicken, the food quality on the platter was reasonable. However, the quantity of food left me and my platter buddy looking for more. I recommend the owners order themselves a share platter of that price at any other decent restaurant to evaluate the price of their own. Other than that, service was good with a smile. If you decide to go here I’d recommend straying away from the platters for your stomach and wallet’s sake. 3/5

Waited 20 minutes for a small coffee that was burnt and extremely bitter.
Partners iced chocolate tasted of just milk, no taste of chocolate.
High prices but a good view at the least.
Servers are friendly.

What a fabulous place to relax and enjoy. Food good, service friendly and the view over the beach and adjoining coast line puts you anywhere in the world.

Over priced coffee, Payed $6.10 for a *Small Latte* in a glass, Two sips and it was up. Most places I go charge 5.50 for a Large Latte. Won't be going there again.

Staff were good but order was wrong and i paid $69 for myself and my partner to get half a kransky each? Partners wasnt even half…. Not sure why the chief is so cheap? Food was cold. And we asked to be seated indoors because my partner was cold so they sat us right at the front door were the breeze hit us the whole time. Drove 50mins to try this place out. Honestly not worth the effort

The Thai beef salad is absolutely the best. Have had it here more than 5 times. Every time it’s so delicious and fresh and the flavours are perfect.

Very nice local and family business. Wish it could be open longer hours. Can be crowded. Friendly service.
When are we going to have in Adelaide cafes open till late nights?

Pretty good service given it was busy. Great locality. It was my sister bday so I did notice the table next to us and ordered after us, got served before us. We only had a falafel salad and a pot of T. They are big portions.
We had a lovely time and we finished up just before we got rained on and took our passionfruit dessert and lemon tart wirh us.

Amazing staff! They go above and beyond to help out. The food comes out quick and tasty. Sarah is definitely a massive asset to the business. Thanks Flava for being one of our favourite places to visit.

Edit: management have advised there's a change table in the bathroom. That's not what a staff member told me when I asked. There is also definitely not a change table in the men's.

Food and drinks are great and reasonably priced.

We only go there because our friends go there, no more. Coffee is inconsistent and mostly bad. Filler face barista needs retraining, faster coffees and better crema that lasts til the end.i never do reviews but needed to be said.

Warm service with a smile! We had delicious cakes and a coffee milkshake. Also had a coffee gelato which surprisingly wasn't good at all. Lost a star because of this.but we'll definitely come back though.

Good vibe - good food, quick and efficient service, prices reasonable. Friendly staff - relate in personable ways easily holding short conversations with customers if not too busy. Right across from beach front. Worth dropping in for a try.

Always our go to for breakfast when friends are in town. Love the scrambled eggs and eggs benny! Always cooked perfectly with friendly service. Coffee is great too!

Food is fantastic and so is the coffee blend, bur unfortunately the owners seem highly strung and overheard staff complaining about previous customers within earshot; not entirely professional.

Coffee was lovely but my friend and I ordered coffee in take away cups and sat down to wait and and sit for a while. Were were rudly asked to leave the cafe as they had to sanitize the tables everytime someone sat there even though we were already sitting there and would have had to sanitize it anyway. It made me feel really uncomfortable and like they didnt want me in their cafe as it made no difference to the ammount of work they would have to do. (Thank you to the lovely short haired lady for the good service and lovely coffee)
