Flame 40 reviews
29 Food and service are really bad. We order Kadhai chicken and Masala soya chaap. It takes them 30mins to prepare only for us, no more dine in or take away. We try to be patient but end up with raw chicken, can see red meat from the 1st cut. When we ask waitress to change, she just “Oh really” (sounds like we’re making up story) then changes another meal, but we don’t have appetite anymore after waiting such a long time and seeing that raw meat. We didn’t get any apology from chef
Naan is too thin and small, not worth the price.
Cashier serves without careness. Never gives enough utensils, takes order 1 thing then serves 1 thing. The problem is when we ask to change she never say sorry. That makes us feel we’re making trouble for her eventhough the food we order is more expensive than the one she serves.
Wow wow wow, what a great meal, I had the Lamb Rogan Josh with rice and butter Nann, I feel it’s the best Rogan Josh I have had in my 53 years, the Chef is amazing I was lucky enough to thank her on the way out, Highly recommend and I’m here for another week and I’ll be back, 5 Star.
It's now called @Flame 40 but same great food. Unfortunate location but easy to find. Great service and food dine-in or takeaway.
The Naan Platter ain't no entre! Has all the traditional tasty sauces used in other recipes (my favourite the yoghurt and fresh Mint Sauce plus stuffed naan bread, garlic, beef lamb and plain cooked in the traditional tandoor. Great for a takeaway down the beach with the dogs or fishing.
Wait for food was about 25 mins with no customers. Fairly expensive but very nice samosas.
My daughter & I ate here when we were in Port Lincoln. The food was absolutely amazing and the serving sizes were pretty big (we had enough to take and give my husband when he got back). The staff were really nice and took the time to talk to my daughter too and ask her about herself. Only down side was I didn’t want to order too much food cos it was just the two of us and wish I could have tried more of the dishes lol. We’ll definitely visit again.
Bad food and bad service. Used to be good when they start but gone down hill now. Don't waste your time
Excellent delicious food, quick service, decent serving size all of that with friendly staff and manager looking after you with a lovely smile. Value for money. Would definitely keep going there.
Went here with a couple of friends we all loved everything amazing staff and the food is to diefor the butter chicken was my personal favourite but everything was amazing will definitely be going back
Went there for dinner. Excellent food butter chicken was outstanding. Never ever had this taste before and staff was also very good. Presentation is 10/10.yummy food
Ordered dinner from flame 40 enjoyed my dinner…reasonable price…service was too good.
Must try if wanna have some indian taste.
My favourite Indian dish is Chicken Biryani. I may not know much about the spices and stuffs on it but I am a fan or Biryani so I exactly have tasted the best biryani. Anyway, thank you for serving me the food even though the staff was unfriendly. No problem, as long as I got my Chicken Biryani. The food came in to the table looked appetising. I was so excited but it was way too salty. That’s it and no more comments.
Serving size for the appetiser was small for the price. Mains were ok.
Reasonably priced.
Had take away chicken and rice sunday afternoon. It was delicious, and will go again today to try other dishes. Have been there a few times with family, and we all love the food in there. Thanks Chef.
Food was below average, had better in other secluded towns. Could see pre cooked rice in containers in the fridge in the waiting area…
I read the reviews and the good outweighed the bad so I was very hopeful but unfortunately staff are also disturbingly rude to customers foreign to their nationality. The lady out front wouldn’t explain food/food sizes and couldn’t even look at me and was just plain abrupt. 5 Indian men walked in and wanted to dine in and she went above and beyond for them immediately.
We came all the way from Adelaide to visit this place and the service here was disappointing and disastrous.
The waitress was very rude and extremely unfriendly.
Would recommend this place to anyone. Staff needs to be changed and should be more welcoming for the tourists.
Cheers.
We went here twice during our stay in Port Lincoin, it's the best Indian food we have had in Australia. Delicious flavours.
The spicy chicken starter and the Punjabi Lamb curry was delicious but the rice had obviously been microwaved and wasn't made fresh. The chicken balti curry was watery and next to no flavour, we think this was also microwaved. Not worth being open on a Monday night if you can't give your food the attention and care it deserves. I recommend going here later in the week (hopefully the chefs care more then).
I am eating now and i feel like to give a 5 stars for this best goat biryani and raita i have ever had?
This place has to be the best I've ever had butter chicken and goat curry was sensational so professional and service was awesome. I really had an amazing meal expectedly delicious, with every dish we ordered of excellent quality. The food was possibly the best I've ever had. Warmly welcomed by the staff. Really quick and friendly customer service. Cozy and warm atmosphere. We will certainly be eating here again! Highly recommend customer service is really great you feel like home.
Food was awesome Chicken tikka masala was delicious and shahi paneer was too good. Sitting arrangement was perfect. Will come back.
